How TyWiggins Made me a slick GM-his programs that is.

You all know that Tywiggins has programs out that are amazing but what you may not know is the extent of Tywiggin’s programs in terms of what they can do and how easy to use they are. With these programs and some imagination you can be able to do something that you have never been able to do before. What's that?

As I always do with each draft, I take note of which teams drafted which players. I hand write this information down, including all information possible about the prospect(s) that I want to maybe trade for (batting contact, name, position etc). After the draft, and *during spring training I normally would try to trade my players away for rookies. Normally I get turned down because of budget constraints the other team has. This is no longer a problem! If in real life I know the other team would not normally increase their budget to exponential amounts, then what I/you can do, and I have done is this:

-Trade Carlos Pena and Chris Reitsma for a 5 star rated lefty pitcher named Gary Standridge (drafted rookie by Tampa Bay for 1.5 million dollars at 3 years). Before I did this, I used the MVP Editor to reduce the contracts of Chris Reitsma by one million dollars (Chris had 2 years and 2.5 million bucks on his contract, now it is at 1.5 million). To my surprise, TB accepted both of my players for their star rookie. Now, what I did was something great for the sake of realism and allowing me to be the slickster GM that I pretend I can be. I used TyWiggins importer exporter program to extract the org.dat file, then entered the amount to penalize my team 1 million bucks for the first year and second year (remember, this is the length of Reitsma’s contract-2 years), so that my team could still be responsible for taking some of the burden of the contract Reitsma's contract. Realism achieved. Pretend savviness achieved. Giving TyWiggins a donation? Achieved.

I wanted to write this out so that those of you who have been keeping away from using this program or any program for that matter because maybe you think it would be too difficult to learn or you haven’t had time- I guess to conclude my run on sentence I just wanted to say ‘don’t miss out-the fun is just beginning’. If you get to pull off something that you don’t think others are thinking about because they don’t know it is possible, by all means, post it here. Have a great day.

*I try to do my trades during ST so that if I’m trading older players for younger players, it won’t be harder to make the trade. You know, after you click to end Spring Training and the player ratings change, your older players may have diminished ratings while the rookie you wanted now has higher ratings and therefore the team with that drafted rookie will be less inclined to trade with you.

PS. Now if I could get Tywiggins to make a program that tricks the game into giving HR celebrations to other players then I would be able to assign that stuff to other players. :headset:

That's a pretty creative use of my programs, UncleMo. :)

Here's something that you may not have tried changing in the orgextra.dat:

You can change your progress for the dynasty goals. It's pretty easy. There are 8 goals in the file numbered 0-7 (10-17). They match up with the ones that are on your dynasty goals screen from top to bottom.

If the goal is something that is like "Lead the league in some stat" , or "have a certain winning percentage" or something like that, then the value for the dynasty goal should be 0 or 1. 0 is unchecked, 1 is checked.

If it is something that requires you to have x of a certain stat, then the value for the dynasty goal should be 0 to x, in most cases. When it is x, it will be checked, if it is less than x it will be unchecked.

I would personally only do this for the minor league goals, because I don't play the minor league games.
