abc006 Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 The Garden isn't quite as beautiful as the old Penn station, but it sounds a bit familiar... still, it has a storied history, I would be very sad (and annoyed, and mad) if it goes... Not that it wouldnt be the first MSG knocked down (the current one is the fourth I believe), but this place is more historic then any other arena in the world. After all it is the World most famous arena. This is where I saw Stephane Matteu score the double overtime goal in Game 7 against the Devils to go the the Finals! I later on ended up hearing the audio for that on a special Rangers Greatest Hits CD, and for all you Devils fans....lets repeat those infamous words..... MATTUE, MATTUE, MATTUE!!! STEPHAN MATTUE, AND THE RANGERS HAVE ONE MORE HILL TO CLIMB BABY!!! AND ITS TO VANCOUVER!!!! THE RANGERS ARE GOING TO THE FINALS!!! Although I don't remeber much from the game seeing as I was three, I always love looking at the video of Marty sitting in the net...... Also not to mention all the Potvin chants I've started there!
