medric822
60 years ago today, Jackie Robinson stepped onto the field at Ebbets Field, and changed the world. He wasn't onlt the first black baseball player, he was the first to be accepted by the world. Although it surely didn't come at first, it surely did come. He paved the way for many of the Civil Rights movements, and showed the world that skin color dosn't mean indifference. While I was watching the Yankees game yesterday, I thought, "What great feat in baseball hasn't been accomplished?" Then it dawned on me. There has never been a female player. So, what I am asking the people here, is do you think that women should be able to play? Would they be safe first off? And I'm not talking on the baseball field either. And even on the field, would men be distracted by her looks, or her gender and that he has to treat her as a man, even if that means that she's the catcher blocking the plate. There are women allowed into the locker rooms, there's even a female General Manager if I'm correct (I konw there was one at one time). So, should women be allowed to play baseball. Baseball is a mans game, but women are part of mankind.
Yankee4Life
I voted no. If they want to play baseball, let them get their own league.

brutushayesosu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Silver_Bullets There was an all womens team managed by Phil Niekro but it didnt last long. I remember seeing highlights of a player charging the mound and the pitcher looked confused as to what to do. Have there own league is the way to go like the WNBA.
