Robinson Cano has been placed on the 60 day DL with an injured leg

Nick Green will take ove everyday at 2B till he returns

Team Call ups

Yankees Send down Catcher Chad Moeller and Call Up CF Brett Gardner to make room for a 4th Outfielder incase of injury

The New York Yankees trade OF Melky Cabrera to the Detroit Tigers for OF Marcus Thames who was on the trading block

May 20th 2008- Marcus Thames "I am not happy to be here, I want to play on a team that will pay me a **** load more than I am now, that is why I want to be traded"

Thames has been placed on the trading block because he isnt happy in his contract

June 5th- Robinson Cano has been activated from the DL, and will take 2B duties back from Nick Green, Yankees send down SS Chris Woodward down to AAA Scranton to make room for Cano

Call Ups

Yankees call up SS Ramiro Pena from AAA Scranton because of his fantastic performence in AA Trenton to begin season and AAA Scranton recently

Yankees send down 2B Nick Green to make room for Ramiro Pena, Pena will become the Infield backup for Jeter, Cano, and Rodriguez

Pena will get the start June 15th vs. the Pirates
