Question about Steam?

steam is a service, not a game.

i think of it kind of as extended hard drive with your purchased game them on a server in the clould. that being said throw.

if you bought a game from them they have, the game is partly on your own system and partly on there servers. some data on there servers. they keep the game updated, once there patches for a game from the vendor of the game. things like that. the other things is if you you issues with the game and need to reinstall it,  you can from them.
