Most of the heavily downloaded mods have documentation or similar steps for the specific type of mod (like stadiums or uniforms), and if those are not explained, I would definitely reach out to the person who updated that mod for help on what you didn't understand from the instructions provided. Keep in mind that the game you have is a 9 year old title. Since it's an old game, it's likely some people who have made mods have left the community altogether, but in that case, you are free to make a thread and gather information from others on what you need to do in order to make the mod work.
