It won't be too much longer before I release this update to Geomlb87's 1997 Ken Griffey Jr.'s total conversion mod. I am shooting for some time in March. After I finish the 4-remaining team facepacks, I will be moving on to the 61, 1998 rookies that are currently in the free agent bin to their respective AAA teams for the franchise mode version of the roster. Then, since I finally figured out how to correct the skin tone for the non-Caucasian players, I will be doing that also, then release the updated roster along with over 500 re-numbered real player faces. WOW! This is incredible! With what Kccitystar is doing and now this, MVP Baseball 2005 may live on for another 20 years. Question, is any of this possible for MLB 2k12? Gary Thorne Steve Phillips John Kruk I really can't stand how the older, original players name is always said when the pitcher is warming up or the batter is coming to the plate in that game.

Coming along well, I completed 4 more teams adding the face packs for the Cubs, Mets, Indians & Braves provided by Hanny. I also now have corrected either the batting stance or throwing hand for 46 players. Basically, what I am doing, besides adding in 383 faces thus far, is polishing and cleaning up the roster you provided for your mod, and also updating some ratings & overalls for the majority of star players. I am just adding on to all the hard work you already done naming the players for all 30 teams, setting batting orders and rotations and all the other wonderful work you did to create this mod.

I have received all the needed permissions I was looking for. Thank you!! Here are a couple of previews of the many new faces for this mod I have been collecting the past couple of weeks. Again, Disclaimer: These are not my faces, and I had no job in the creation of them. Currently I am still working on the 1997 schedule and continue to update this mods franchise roster, acquiring new faces and still adding in player faces from the 22 face packs by Hanny. 11 of 22 complete. I would love to get additional help from other modders on creating stadiums for the 1997 season or just updating advertisements from this time period. Some new portraits would be useful as well.

Yes, probably if someone just wants to play a quick game and can have quick access to these players to add them to teams if they choose. But the way I play, I always have to play franchise mode or a season mode for any sports game I play, or it's just not fun to me. So, what I will do is create two updated versions of your roster. One with the players in free agency as you had them, And two, a franchise roster with which turned out to be many more players than I first thought, (52) players in all, and put them all on their respective minor league teams, so they can come up through the system as a franchise progresses.

It has been a week since I posted something here. So, here are a couple of screenshots of circa late 90's updated faces I have been gathering from outside sources. These are courtesy of an old Operation Sports friend and another NLSC buddy of mine. Disclaimer: Just as before, these are not my faces, and I take no credit in the creation of them. But I have received permission to post these screenshots here and also these and many other new faces will be included with this updated roster & faces update I plan to release. I am still chugging along adding faces and updating player ratings. Question for Geomlb87, the players who are in free agency, who will not appear in the majors until 1998-1999, like Adrian Beltré, Carlos Beltrán to name a couple, should I leave them as free agents or should I put them on their AAA teams? (25-30) players.

This is some incredible stuff, a new editor and datafile.txt My allegiances have always been to Operation Sports and as of late MLB 2k12, but I have always loved MVP Baseball 2005, and something fresh like this should bring me and many others back to this great game and MVP Mods. Maybe now is the time to calibrate the two lists before the new portraits get into the hundreds, if they haven't already exceeded that? Before the two list get too far apart and all is lost, it looks like this player list has been a work in progress for almost 14 years now. How about have a 2nd alternate official new portrait number guy when Yolandy1998 isn't around? Just a thought,

Thank you, Hanny, and thanks for those updated faces you sent me. This makes 4 permissions, one more and I will be releasing this update, as soon as I finish it up. Update on what I have been editing this past week, 1. A few new faces from the Facebook & Telegram guys and Hanny. 2. I completed the Chicago White Sox and some player updates & as many new player faces, I could add for the Cincinnati Reds (Deion Sanders has a new face now) 3. I edited the 28 players from 1997 season that were switch hitters. Only 7 of the 28 had that designation. 4. I am currently using REDitor II to check and to uncheck the (Is Rookie Eligible tab), so only the 1997 real rookies and the 1998 rookie players who are in the free agent bin will be eligible for the rookie of the year awards if you play in franchise mode. 5. Still working on the 1997 schedule I will continue to update post #2 with my progress and updates sheet from time to time. And I want to once again thank geomlb87, without all his hard work to put this mod together, none of these add-ons or simple edits would even be possible. I can't wait to finish and release it and most of all play this!!

This topic was started to improve on what is its first of a kind, a retro total classics mod for MLB 2k12 that was created by Geomlb87. Ever since its release on November 7th I have been steadily updated and compiling faces to improve on this mod in order for it to reach its full potential The reason for this post is so others have a place to discuss the mod, give feedback and post their own add-ons, new faces or stadiums. If you have something you may already created for the 1997 or 1998 season, or even the very early 2000’s for MLB 2k12 please share it here, or if you would like to contribute something new by making some new faces, stadiums or uniforms for the 1997 season, you are more than welcome to and post them right here as well. Needs: 1. 1997 Stadiums 2. New faces 3. More portraits 4. Anything to make the mod better This is currently my personal pet project, which is adding to and updating this great mod by Geomlb87. I gave up work on the AAA roster I was working on, too many crashes, I couldn’t get all the AAA teams to show up all at once or work properly, so I stopped and devoted all my free time to updating this mod. What I am currently working on, is adding faces and new face Id’s to all players and updating some star player ratings. I also increased all players age by +15 years from their real birth year. I am also working on an accurate and complete 1997 MLB schedule for this mod. The faces are mostly coming from the face packs created by a fella named Hanny back in 2017 & 2018, the ones I could open and were not password protected, 22 team packs in all and from two other veteran face modders who asked to remain nameless but did give me permission on Facebook to use their faces. The ratings updates are coming from the classic rosters by vanopetrov. I have tested franchise mode and yes it works, and I have added and updated almost 200 player faces. Yes, I plan to release everything I have and everything I have updated the past 6 weeks. As long as I can get permission from Geomlb87, Hanny & vanopetrov to use their stuff.
