Before your mods, there were no batting gloves or shoes - not to mention all the help you've given. Don't let the actions of a few discourage you. I for one am very appreciateive of your work - I think it's excellent. You are one of the ones that inspired me to try modding on my own. And now I know how long it takes to mod the game. Kerm don't leave - cool off and come back. Maybe person a likes my Dodgers uniform and the next likes Umachines - no worries! You know you do awesome work! Don't leave this community!! Many don't realize, or worse, care about how much work is involved in making these options available to us.....There are those that just love to complain and moan about every little thing they feel is not performing to their satisfaction. Making suggestions to improve a mod is one thing but to be rude and insult someone for their effort is completely uncalled for. I creat and provide options on another simulation and I certainly appreciate and understand what is involved in making any type of add-on available to others. Unfortunately the internet attracts all kinds of people....the bad as well as the good. You should not feel it necessary to apologize for your decision....Other should apologize to you. I'm with Bully on this one. I have done a couple of my own mods..they suck compared to what others put out..I try not to let it bug me at all when people don't like em etc..etc.. But yes..some folks are just plain old jerks out there and dont have a clue. Dont let the voice of a few kill the voice of the masses who do appreciate the effort and work you put in. peace..... I personally ignore the the bastards the don't like my work, I sometimes rank my stuff low just so that the people that download it based on ratings would not download them and only the people that appriciate my work and know me will get them. I respect a person for trying to help others out with their creations whether I like them or not. Just remember that half of these bitchers are 12 year olds sitting in their moms dark basement naked with pink bunny slippers on and random pictures of porn popping up on their screens. Only modder and I'm using the term modder loosely that I have probelms with is Gamerpyleofcrap. Stay or go makes no difference, hell I do not even use any of your mods But as mentioned in another thread you seem to have a ego problem. You are a modder not a greek god. If you feel you are above all that has happened, I'm sure someone will step up and take your place in the community. And for the most part that has already happened anyway. Of course you wanted appreciation and I have seen tons of that for you, but you cant forget your place. You cant expect that because you do this hard work that people will not take a whack at you when given the chance. Everybody is rating these mods as if we modders have nothing to do after dinner or something. I'm trying to ignore those "1.23 (10 votes)" ratings, but it's really bugging me how people think having these mods is something they deserve or something. RAM Posted June 16, 2004 Share Posted June 16, 2004 first- yes trues do away with the ratings! i think some of the younger kiddies rate their mods high and others low, thinking people will just download theirs. personally i look at the jpeg dload it and either dig on it or replace it. secondly - to kerm don't do it bro! please. it was because of you that i actually started exploring how to open fsh files and experiment on my own. your cleats and gloves opened up a world to me i figured was beyond my grasp completely, and along with those files u provided and some guidance from other members i actually grew the balls to download the fshed and start playing around. before u and this whole site for that matter, i just played each years doling out by EA for a few months and without fail; just plain got sick of the game. because of you i tried out my first "mods". simplistic yes (but i am getting more and more knowledge) a little cleaning of the uni's and applying cleats and b-gloves no big deal but a start nonetheless and a simple approach for some of the others (mainly newer memebers to the forum) who just couldn't grasp how to install some of the fancier mods. the result was emails from fellow forum members thanking me for making a mod they could install for themselves. and really kerm it is thanks to you. so as my dad would say..."f" em and feed em fishheads. i for one will miss you.
