Reyes singled one in, Keppinger hit a sac fly to drive Castro in, and that chased Patterson. Ryan Drese came on and allowed a single to Carlos Beltran, scoring Glavine. Beltran then stole second, and Delgado's groundout scored Reyes, and moved Beltran to 3rd. David Wright singled to drive Beltran in and put the Mets ahead 10-2.

Glavine went 5, and Endy Chavez pinch hit for him in the bottom of the 5th inning.

"We want to get the bullpen some work here." Tejesh explained.

Tanyon Sturtze and Matthew Lindstrom each pitched 2 innings, and Lindstrom allowed one run, but nothing more, as the Mets won going away, 11-3.
