"Well, 108 isn't the goal, because we don't need to get there, but it would be nice to achieve it." Tejesh said, referring to the Mets club record for victories, occuring in that magical 1986 season, which culminated in a World Championship.

wow, still going strong ... I need to scroll back a few pages to catch up ... great job on the franchise updates and those minor league reports ... keep em coming, also throw out some season stats. From the looks of it, Reyes and Beltran are doing magnificently, while Heilman looks to have made a smooth transition back to the rotation. How are Kazmir and Pedro holding up?

Kazmir leads the team in complete games, so he's doing very well. Pedro's doing well, too, but I'm going to curtail my starting staffs innings, to between 5 and 6. Except for Bannister. And yes, Heilman's done well as a starter for me. Unfortunatly, I lost his most recent start due to a computer crash :(

Game 148: Braves @ Mets

R. Rodriguez vs Scott Kazmir (12-10, 4.04)

Chipper Jones, Jeff Francoeur and Chad Tracy singled to load the bases leading off the 2nd, and it looked like Kazmir wouldn't survive the frame. McCann singled, Rodriguez doubled, and Pete Orr doubled the pair home to make it 5-0. Kazmir struck out Edgar Renteria to end the inning, and that was the last batter Kazmir faced. Tanyon Sturtze came on to pitch the 5th.

The plan was to use Sturtze to eat innings, but the Mets put together a threat in the top of the 6th, and had to pinch hit for Sturtze. Jose Reyes singled to drive home a run in the inning, but Jeff Keppinger stranded the bases loaded, forgoing a bigger inning. Jonathan Broxton came on to pitch the 6th, 7th and maybe the 8th.

Broxton took one for the team, going 4 innings allowing 3 runs. the Mets fell, 8-1.

"Brox was the sacrificial lamb tonight. We had no bullpen behind him, except for Wagner, who was limited to 1 inning at the most. I talked to him, he understands it, and he did a good job today." Tejesh said.

It doesn't happen very often where a person actually gets through a whole season of their dynasty. You're doing a good job; keep it up! :)

It's getting tedious. Especially with a 24 game lead and the division clinched. And the setback when I lost 4 games due to my computer crashing really really POed me.
