WinnieThaPujols
Heh, we registered on the same date? You want to edit the line "<batterpitcher>." The hex string at the beginning of the line is "0x739c0a96." I actually decided to edit it to the one that comes default with the MVP 07 mod. KSM's is too easy I think, and I find Kumala's too difficult when I play on MVP difficulty.
kumala
after more playing, I found that this datafile with my changes work the best with hoops all star sliders. I made some minor adjustments to his sliders but it plays a sweet game now. the hit variety i get now is unreal. bleeders, bloopers, liners, towering pop-ups, etc. with the changes to the pitch meter, i get my share of walks sometimes too much depending on the pitcher. games have been close or been blow outs. so any of you have downloaded my datafile changes try using hoops 2.2 sliders for all star. UncleMo
So you guys don't notice the extremely loud crowd during the playoffs, or are you all not using my crowd mods and are thus not annoyed?
sascgs
Could someone point me in the direction of Hoops all star sliders. I can't seem to locate them. Thanks.
kumala
Hoop27's Allstar Sliders with the MVP 06 mod V2.2 *my changes are in () User Pitch Meter Difficulty: 15 (-50) Pitch Speed: -5 (25) CPU Pitcher Ball Rate: 8 (15) User Pitcher Fatigue: -17(5) CPU Pitcher Fatigue: 6 (15) User Pitch Control: 5 (-35) CPU Pitch Control: 0 (-35) Bullpen Fatigue Rate: 0 Bullpen Fatigue Grace: 0 User Batting Contact: -5 CPU Batting Contact: -11 User Batting Power: 0 CPU Batting Power: -30 User Bunting Ability: 5 CPU Bunting Ability: -7 (5) User Foul Ball Frequency: 50 CPU Foul Ball Frequency: 50 CPU Swing Frequency: -25 User OF Speed (Manual & MVP): 2 (-10) CPU OF Speed: 2 (-10) User IF Speed (Manual & MVP): 0 (-10) CPU IF Speed: 0 (-10) User Throw Speed: 0 (-10) CPU Throw Speed: -0 _(-10) User Throw Accuracy: 0 (-4) CPU Throw Accuracy: -18 (-4) User Catch Errors: 15 CPU Catch Errors: 35 (15) User Dive Difficulty: 0 CPU Catch Effort: -15 User Baserunning Speed: 0 _(-2) CPU Baserunning Speed: 0 (-2) User Runner Aggression: 0 CPU Runner Aggression: -7 User Runner Steal Speed: 2 CPU Runner Steal Speed: 2 User Runner Steal Delay: -3 (- CPU Runner Steal Delay: -3 (- CPU Steal Rate: 8 Runner Injury Frequency: 0 (-10) Pitcher Injury Frequency: 0 (-10) Batter Injury Frequency: 0 (-10) Fielder Injury Frequency: 0 (-10) Pitching MG Difference: 5 Verison 1.0 This should help the people that are finding pitching a little too difficult, however pitching mistakes will still be punished by the CPU. Version 1.1 made adjustments to Running speeds and the delay speeds. I had been finding it too easy to steal. Also adjusted the OF speed slightly to compensate for the OF's being so far back. Version 1.2 Improved CPU and human bunting. adjusted CPU and human throw speeds. made more adjustments to the steal speeds and delays. Version 2.0 (Final I hope) more tinkering with the bloody steal numbers hopefully I have it now. Version 2.1 cpu ball rate down a hair and cpu throw accuracy up a bit (thanks to skte1ement for this one) and one last touch up to the steal speed. Version 2.2 made a small adjustment to CPU fielding that hopefully cuts down on those "errors" when you hit a single and the outfielder bobbles it. Hope this helps the enjoyment of playing this incredible mod! and don't be afraid to make suggestions for further improvement! here are his sliders, i edited some of the values so i will post my changes later. angryrat
Out of curiousity, I have always wondered what "Pitching MG Difference" means?
ragamuffindaniel
ive tried this datafile and like it. i have one question though, does this represent the most variety/best as far as ball physics and realistic power?
kumala
all i can say is that i have seen choppers, slow rollers, line shots, pulled shots, opp basehits down the outfield line, pop ups towering fly outs, bombs, etc. game has played great for me. I use hoops sliders but I have made some changes to pitching to make it difficult for me to locate pitches.
kumala
mg is for the mini games.
angryrat
thanks kumala... ps- i just tested hoops sliders, with your modified KSM, on MVP 06, with the latest 07 UR Rosters.... (I know that was a mouth full).... but I loved the results. I just played 1 game, so I still need more testing, I agree with the pitching on my side needing to be a little harder ( i think some control tweaks will do it) but I was very pleased with the results, after spending the last few days really frustrated with playing around with various datafiles, etc.
kumala
yeah, just adjust the pitcher control difficulty and it should be fine. what were games like. stats. I am just so pleased with the results I am getting. Its tough now to beat the cpu. basically i lose to my mistakes on the mound.
ragamuffindaniel
here are a few things... I found one possible issue, not sure if its fixable. when on aerial fielding view, if there is a stolen base, it zooms in on the catcher, instead of the view turning to face 2b so you can see your guy sliding in... this can be a problem when you trying to judge how to slide. I also think it might be good to have a slight zoom when a ball is hit to the outfield. not sure if this is possible either, but its very difficult to time jumps and dives its its a long fly ball. I also find that in some stadiums the view of the dugout and bullpen is totally gone.. it simply shows the side of a wall etc. maybe the coordinates are off on this or something. kumala
those are things that ksm edited. I basically changed the ball physics so it would cut down on getting pounded by the cpu every pitch, and I also made the pitch meter harder.
angryrat
I have played 5 games since I lasted posted Kumala. I would say I average pitching 4 walks a game, allow 4 runs, and about 8 hits. Batting against the CPU, I am probably averaging 6 hits (With the White Sox), and I am striking out a whole bunch. Jake Westbrook struck me out 14 times over 7 innings. Alot of which I blame Scott Podsednik for... but still. If I take that freak show out of the averages, it's not nearly as bad though, as I probably score 3-4 runs a game, In terms of home runs, in the 5 games, I think Thome hit 2, Pierzinski 1, Uribe 1. It has been a lot more fun with these tweaks. My only major complaint is with the CPU base stealing. In the opening series against me the Indians stole 8 bases on me. 2 by Hafner. I can't seem to figure out which direction the sliders should go for Steal Aggression and Steal Rate. I've been mixing them around, and regardless the CPU in 5 games is 11 steals and 0 CS on me.That aside, Im having fun.
kumala
I would ajdust the steal delay slider. I have been able to throw runners out. Try making check throws over to first. If you are striking out too much lower the pitch speed. good to hear your experience has been good. how are the hit variety.
angryrat
In the first few games, the CPU was hitting mostly (if not all) grounders. Some got through, some didn't... I added some of their Power back (Hoops Sliders suggest -30) I have it now at about -20 and I am seeing shots into the gap, bloop singles over SS/2B head. It's been nice. The variety has been alot like what the Indians did to Contreras on Monday.... (what? too soon?) I hope the sox get em back in a half hour.
