Also some Jays things to note:

Eric Hinske will play some time in left-field this season so he now is technically a utility guy but only at 3 positions (1B, 3B and LF).. he will play only against right-handers provided the Jays can't find a suitor for him which is unlikely with his contract

3B Corey Koskie will be traded before the season as he has expressed that he does not want to be a bench/DH guy and wants to play full-time at 3B. Although, the Jays are not in a rush to move him and want to get the best deal possible for him.

Oh man that sucks, I like Corey. My cousin worked on his house here in Oakville.

I'd agree with you there--but if the guy has a 91 mph splitter, shouldn't the straight fastball be faster? Not to mention if both the straight fastball and the split fastball are the same speed, then that just makes the splitter even more devastating.

Yeah, maybe your right.

I read today in the San Diego Union Tribune that the Padres picked up backup catcher Todd Green (recently with Colorado) and signed him to a Minor League contract. That makes 3 catchers on the Pads roster now...

I don't know if you will be able to access this link but here it is.
