With such in mind, here's what I have so far. Suggestions and critiques welcomed, before I can make a final submission to NYM: Team: Hampton Roads Captains Logo: (likely for the cap) Colors: Blue, Gold, and White. The above should indicate the shades of blue/gold I'm working at. City and State: Hampton, VA Google Earth Location: I don't have the full pic available for this post, but it'll be located on the soon-to-be former Ft. Monroe, easily accessible from I-64, and just off the Bridge Tunnel that connects Hampton/Newport News to Norfolk/Va Beach Division: NL East Team Replaced: Fla Marlins Team Composition: mix of youth and age Powerhouse/Bad team: Middle of the Road Speed/Power: Speedy Ballpark: Pitcher friendly Dimensions: TBD Organization focuses on the Minors: Yes And the rest of their organization: Team Name: Carolina TBD Location: Raliegh, NC Division: IL South Replaces: Norfolk Tides (Mets affiliation changed to Albequerque; this team becomes a Florida/HR affiliate) Team Name: Williamsburg Settlers Location: Williamsburg, VA Division: Southern League North? D-Unit Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 If anyone is interested in actually designing the uniforms with photoshop and putting them in the game for my organization, feel free to let me know you would like to. same goes for stadiums, i dont think i have the patience or the skill to do something like this. and on another note, i want to use a certain font for the official team name (from www.dafont.com) but i cant apply it once i downloaded it. i have done this before, but i cant get it right this time. jkarger Posted June 10, 2006 Share Posted June 10, 2006 Team names and colors instead of Marlins MLB- Florida Gators- Orange and Blue- use the U of Florida logo AAA- Miami Hurricanes- Green and Orange- use the U of Miami logo AA- New Orleans Tide- Green and baby blue- use the Tulane logo A- Tallahassee Seminoles- maroon and gold- use Florida State University logo that is my idea for the teams, using some of the top teams in college baseball and putting them in mvp...... i changed tulanes name from the green wave to the tide because there logo is a giant T Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, would you want the team in Hampton or Norfolk? If in Norfolk, I think it'd be more easily accessible to VA Beach and Suffolk, as well. Plus, there are several outlets out of Norfolk, with HR Bridge-tunnel to Hampton, Williamsburg, etc... and the M&M bridge-tunnel, going to NN. I know these are just nit-picky things, but I'm sure stuff like that came up when they were still in the running for the Expos. Still the most populated area without a major sports team.
