Player of the game: Curtis Granderson--4-5, HR, 2B, 2 RBI, 1 R.

The story of this game again, was kansas city pitching, not good pitching unfortunately. The bullpen let the game go from a one run game in the 9th, to a 3 run game when Zach Greinke gave up a two run homer to Curtis Granderson. Todd jones was able to come in for the tigers and nail down his first save of the season.

On the good side for the royals, John Buck, Mark Grudzielanek, and Mark Teahen's good seasons continue, each going 2-4.

Ill be posting a video of a play later, its been uploading to photobucket for ever.

And thanks to dannymac910 ill have a postgame scoresheet, im gonna try to model it after sportscenter or the rstn version.

The royals offense exploded today to score 10 runs on the tigers. Ryan Shealy was behind most of the offense driving in 5 runs and hitting a grand slam. He is co player of the game with Kyle Davies, who pitched fantastic, going 7 strong, only giving up 1 and punching out 4.

The big story of this game for the royals was cliff floyd, not because of his offense, or a great catch, but because of his injury. He was mysteriously injured when mark teahan hit a home run and cliff sprained his left forearm. Team doctors were asked how the injury might have been caused, and they were speechless. He will be out of action for 10 days. Cliff jokingly said after the game that it might have been the little green men that have been following him around.

Joey Gathright will take over duties in left field while Emil Brown will move to right.

Angel Berroa has been called up from omaha.
