Re: NBC & ABC themes for classics

EASPORTSGUY

Recommended Posts

I have music themes for 1970's ABC Monday Nite Baseball and

NBC's 1980's baseball theme.

I was wondering if I should upload these files?

They can easily be imported into the bdcstdat.big file using

the IGMusIm application.

I will be creating more audio files of these music themes

so the between innings music isn't repetitive.

Let me know if there's interest out there....

Once again these are audio files are for the classics,

I use them for the 78 & 88 mod.

Yes.... Jim825 & tebjr are aware of these files.

I have permission from Jim and I believe tebjr will be using it

in an 88 mod update.

yeh i would love both, is there a way you could load up the files, already inserted into the overlay, where all we would have to do is overwrite the file, or place thew file?

I need to speak with the MVPMODS moderators/ administrators.

This application is located in an audio dl, I don't have permission to upload it.

I couldn't find it in the dl section....

I'm assuming that the men in charge will make it available for dl

once again.

he means to upload the audio files, to the site itself for d/l y4l, that program, was just so ppl new how to do it.

I don't see why he can't because the person that uploaded that mod didn't create that program. I don't see anything wrong with this unless another moderator can tell me otherwise.

bascally in a nut shell, it will give you the actualy music, played on espn, abc, nbc, etc that you hear on tv, but i just looked at that program, and converted the song, as the read me says, since im using true's espn overlay, and i think you better put in your read me file, when u upload the files for download, that it is asking for the mvp.exe, well guess what, when you try to use that exe, through that program, it doesnt find the mvp2005.exe, like the read me says, so unless you know of another way or another program to install this you might have some problems.

IGMusIm found the mvp2005.exe when I ran it....

I've installed my music to both the 78 and 88 mod.

I don't understand why you're having issues???

The IGMusIm application is located here:

http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=2339.html

This is not my file, MLB on ESPN.

Located in this dl is the IGMusIm application

this will install the music files I have.

I'll upload the ASF format files so everyone can skip the

mp3 to ASF conversion.

I think what EASPORTSGUY is saying is, there is a program that will allow you to install the file that HE is uploading (the NBC & ABC theme music) - but that installer program isn't available for download all by itself.

However - that program *IS* included inside the archive file that you get when you download the "MLB on ESPN Theme" - which is authored by basballfanatik9.

So, the bottom line:

If you download EASPORTSGUY's music files, you'll need to download basballfanatik9's ESPN music mod too, but only to get the installer program out of it.

And the NAME of this magical "installer program" is IGMusIm.

??? AM I RIGHT ???

Suggestion, EASPORTSGUY:

When you upload YOUR music files, in archived format, just include that IGMusIm program in YOUR archive as well.

In your readme, credit that you got it from basballfanatik9's ESPN Theme Music mod, but you don't know who actually authored IGMusIm itself.

You're correct! :wtg:

O'k I'll do that. :D

Actually I believe this cat "iansimcox" created it.

Here's the read-me:

In-Game Music Importer for MVP Baseball 2005

--------------------------------------------

USe the Ditty Importer to convert the song you want to EA's ASF format.

Use the drop-down list to choose where you want the new music to play.

Set locations using the two buttons.

Click Update and it should all work perfectly.

Have fun

iansimcox

Thanks

to UncleMo, Hyman and anyone else at MVPmods.com who's been looking at changing the in game music.

Disclaimer

Usual stuff. I am not responsible if this messes up your game. Backup your copy of bdcstdat.big. Note, although the program asks for MVP2005.exe no changes are made to this file.

yeh it was my mistake, i forgot to change my exe from 08 back to 05, it seems to work, with this file, only question i have is, when your updating the intro music, like for the espn 1, i actualy loaded up each trans, after i chose intro, then it followed, with the others one, this method was done by closing the program, and reopening, was this correct method?

i wasnt sure cause the read me didnt say to or not, so i take it, to have the song, playing for each inning, you have to load up the first inning?, then the other trans a,b,c ?

It sounds like you did it correctly.

I'm going to break-up my audio files

so when you import it to a, b or c they'll be different.

Do ya follow what I'm saying?

(example: NBC music between innings ver1, ver2, ver3, ver4, ver5....)

This way it won't get repetitive. My audio files are very RAW.

I have to do some editing and testing, the files I'm using now

aren't "LOUD" enough. I don't know if I have to increase the volume

in the mp3 file or something else. I mean you can hear it, however

not near the volume of other audio files, such as FOX.

It completes the 78 & 88 mods. IMO

I love your mods Jim & tebjr.

ABC & NBC in-game music :music1: :music3: :violin:

Release date? Soon....not December 4th! :p
