Best Sites For Madden '08 Roster Files Updates:

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question, but it seemed like the most appropriate forum to use (as there seems to be MVP Baseball, MLB 2K12, The Show Forum Threads, General "Real-Life" MLB Talk, Yahoo Fantasy Baseball Talk, Tech Talk, and Artistic Forums; leaving just this one which fits maybe 75 to 80%).

My question is: I finally got myself a Wind0ws 8 computer (after being stuck with my XP & relegated to MVP 2004 - which I enjoyed, but I wanted to move on to a newer game). I had been off this site for a couple years because of some personal matters and now that they've been decently settled, I was ready to progress to a new baseball & football game. Well, I recently purchased Major League Baseball 2K12 off Amazon, so I'm set for my baseball game - which just left a football game to matriculate from Madden 2004 to. I was, however, surprised to find out that Madden '08 was the last Madden made for the PC (which I find is a travesty), so I also purchased Madden 2008 from Amazon. So now I'm left to find more recent or updated rosters for that game. I see there are decently updated ones on the Football Idiot (http://www.footballidiot.com) site, which also has some mods too (but for right now I'm just interested in the rosters for Madden).

I, however, would like to know if anybody here has any other good suggestions as to what other sites have updated Madden '08 rosters that are at least as new as the 2013-14 year? I've tried Football-Freaks, but they seem slightly outdated (and some links are sketchy); Operation Sports seems to refer to most of the Football Idiot rosters; and then I saw Madden Redux, but that also seems to refer to the Football Idiot website in the forum/threads I've seen in many cases (and the ones that don't are either ones that are outdated <=2009 or refer to Operation Sports, which, in turn, refers to footballidiot.com). Is EAMods still open, because I seem to get a non-existant website message when I try - is there a new url or address for them? I thought there would be a few more sites with updated rosters for Madden than 2 or 3 (4 if you include Madden Redux)!??!

In my opinion, footballfreaks.com is the best site for users of Madden 08 PC. Each season users update the rosters, uniforms, some equipment, and in some cases the actual stadiums along with the season schedules for PC users. These files literally make the game play like a newer, better version than what was released in the actual games. Take long look again at the forums and focus on the Customization section. You will find what you are looking for,

Are talking about site: http://football-freaks.net/ (what I'm taking is the actual Football-Freaks website) or the wiki that essentially exists in absentia (with some mods for 2014-2015, but what looks like rosters <= 2009): http://ffmadden.wikia.com/wiki/Files? I don't know if you know what I'm referring to, as I know it is slightly confusing, as Google brings up the wiki for the most part (I believe 2nd or 3rd down), and I ONLY found the first one I mentioned (above) in this response by going through close to ALL the "Madden On PC" forums on the EA Forums page (http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/categories/show/83.page;jsessionid=8AEE9B65D9A02993F05BBA3DF8B99E8B)???

I'd ask you the same question as I asked raidersbball20 above, which Football-Freaks are we talking about: 1) What I'm interpreting as the actual site that has like two entries in the forum for rosters (http://football-freaks.net/), or 2) the wiki that has quite a few current mods, but the rosters (at least what I'm interpreting as the rosters) that are no newer than 2009 (http://ffmadden.wikia.com/wiki/Files). I'm thinking the first (what I'm understanding as the actual) refers to the FootballIdiot site in alot of those cases, and the second (the wiki) exists more or less as a standalone, but refers to alot of mirror sites --- and while a few of the mods are decently current, the rosters don't seem (if I'm wrong, and looking at the wrong section, please inform).

Yes, I did see that site. It does have a few forums that list the direct link to their downloads section, but many of their thread entries link to the FootballIdiot site (http://www.footballidiot.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=12). However, I'd like to thank you for your help, it did help me find the alternate forum(s) on Op Sports that I had missed (the ones that direct link to a download section).

I thank everyone who responded, it has been helpful (even to the responses I've asked for further clarification, it STILL has been helpful in many cases)!! It seems Football Idiot would be the main place, then Football-Freaks (I'm just unclear as to which url some are referring to), and Operation Sports.
