Rockfan616 Posted March 14, 2005 Share Posted March 14, 2005 We could use you Rockfan616, just imput numbers in mvpedit that haven't been deciphered, write down the fake players names that you assigned the number to and listen when the player comes to bat or called from the bullpen. write down, to the best of your senses, what you hear then go to baseball america and find player finder on the main page. type in variations of what you wrote down. you should be able to verify some of the players that were written down. then, just post what you found here. OK thanks DMZ, I am using a roster right now that's a totalminors roster however (not sure whose it was, but it's the only one on the server for 2005) so there aren't really any fake players in there. And I don't have any others downloaded at the moment. But thanks for telling me how you guys are doing this, if I can help out some I will but it seems like you've all got it covered. Later!!! I'm trying to figure out the early numbers (2000 and under), and trying to figure out who the numbers once belonged to. I'm also cataloging the face numbers along with this. The tough part with this is that the audio has been removed from most of these numbers, so the only way to find out who these numbers once belonged to is to go through the MLB players list and find the players that should be there that way. I've got the first 152 players complete, with the exception of 0086. I tried the audio, but no dice. And there doesn't seem to be a player that fits between Henry Blanco and Matt Blank. I also found the Audio ID of a player that's been out of the majors for a few years, but is trying to make it back with the Nationals. The audio and photo have probably been removed, but this is his number: 0033 - George Arias (Washington Nationals Non-Roster Invitee) Anyway, I'll post more as it develops. Also, here's a few corrections for the Angels: 1766 - Delvin James (James has an Audio ID, here it is) 2360 - Jeff Mathis (D. Roberts) (It's Mathis, not Mathias) 2920 - Howie Kendrick (It's Kendrick, not Kondrick) 3225 - Bob Zimmermann (There's a second n at the end of his name) 6035 - Corey Lee (There's an e in Corey) Please don't think I'm knocking your spelling, I'm just trying to make sure that if roster makers use this list, that they get it correct in the rosters.
