MVP 2005 Compatability

Hey fellas. I joined a couple of years ago, and have not been able to get disc to work on one of the laptops I currently have that runs on Windows 10. I am thinking of buying a new desktop PC made by Alienware. Does anyone know if an Alienware gaming PC would work with this game? What type of PC and operating system appears to be compatible with the game currently? Anyone using Alienware?

Alienware specs would be overkill for this game, but it should work.  Bottom line is you'll need to partition your HDD or get a secondary HDD and put XP or W7 on it.

Thanks Gordo. I actually have Windows 7 on my current laptop, but cannot get it to work. I had an installation error stating something about the Direct 9 X Graphics card.

Some people have reported installation issues after newer versions of DirectX (e.g. DirectX 11) were installed on their Windows 7 PCs.  When they tried installing MVP2005, they got the same DirectX error message that you reported.  Attempts to downgrade to older versions of DirectX did not seem to help.
