Replay & Menus w/ Controller

I am late to the game here, just bought a computer with Windows XP to replay my favorite game. Forgot that menus and replay are mouse only. Any chance anyone has solved this challenge?

 

Searched and can't find an article or thread.

I don't think you will find a thread about this because it's a non-issue with anyone who ever played this game. Just use the mouse to choose your teams, uniforms, lineups, stadium, etc, etc and play the game. Get a good gamepad and you are good to go.

You can use a program called "Joy2Key" (I may have put it in the downloads sections somewhere.) You can map your controller to your mouse functions, so whereas it would not be exactly what you're looking for, it may come in handy if you'd rather not deal with the mouse at all.  I believe it's a stand alone app, so it doesn't actually install to your PC, just runs.

I am used to the mouse, I am trying to screen capture clips through replays and the mouse is @$$.

This is how the game was programmed.  We can't change the programming.
