cubsfaninfla
Updated List: Changes are in bold CubsFan, since you seem so much more happy with the way things are right now, the changes you've said have been reflected where I think they need to be. Remember we're not doing these rosters based on what they did in 2004, or in Klesko's case 1999. These reflect the depth charts every team has out on MLB.com for 2005. You don't see people wanting to move Smoltz back to closer, even as bad as Kolb has been. These rosters are for 2005 and what happens beyond that, not what has happened in the past. I understand that there are some changes to be made from the depth charts but for the most part these are correct. I had an explanation written up over every change you asked for, but it was erased in switing from Word to here. Sorry about that, but its not like I don't want to make changes to my precious little list because I have, but only the ones that are valid. These changes also reflect any other changes that have been made in this thread. Robert Fick is not a regular catcher, Macias plays OF along with IF, Jackson has played every single pos. except C and P in his career, Darin Erstad has won gold gloves in the OF. The 2nd position option is based on what position the player can play if needed, not what they play now. If the Padres played their players like you have them, Robert Fick would be catching all the time.

Millennium
Since I see my name a few times, my impressions on Newhan: He can play anywhere outside of shortstop or catcher. The issue is he is only average wherever he plays. He has a below average arm, some glove issues (mostly in the infield), and some tracking issues in the outfield. He does make up for most of this with his speed, but if we keep him as a Utility guy for his second position, I recommend lowering his fielding to around 60, his range to 55, arm strength to 55, arm accruacy to 75 (his arm is accurate), and upping his speed in the low 80's. This will show his hustle yet relative weakness for tracking in the outfield, and his defensive liabilty in the infield.
MVPlover
White Sox changes: Pablo Ozuna: 1st Pos - 2B | 2nd Pos - UTIL Scott Podsednik: 1st Pos - LF | 2nd Pos - CF
kangarooboy78
http://www.baseball-reference.com/ is a good site to see what player played which position where or how well they played at that position in their career. Do a player search and scroll down to find much info on fielding stats and just stats in general. BTW, Darin Erstad won gold gloves in 2000 (LF) and 2002 (CF) look at his overall fielding stats.....damn, I didn't know how good with the glove he was....anyway, if you love stats or just want to check out ur favorite player's career #s...go to the site.....lots of good stats
acpython1
Some suggestions: Washington: Brad Wilkerson has played more CF than LF in Endy Chavez's abscence this year. He's played 30 at CF, 10 in LF, and 2 at 1B. In his career, he's played 1B and all 3 OF, with LF the majority of the time. If you are changing based on this season, he's CF/1B. Based on career, it's correct as LF/1B. Tampa Bay: Aubrey Huff is primarily a DH, but when he plays in the field, this season he's played RF/1B. He's played the most games in RF in his career, with stints at 1B and 3B. Julio Lugo has played some 2B this season, but historically has not played much (10 games total, 8 are this season). The Devil Rays do have an overabundance of middle infielders, so changing him to SS/2B is probably not necessary. Royals: Eli Marerro has played the same amount of games at 1B as he has LF, and has played 1 less game at RF. I'd list him as 1B/OF. Giants: Pedro Feliz has played the most games in LF in place of Barry this season. In his career, he's been primarily a 3B(/Util), for this season, he should probably be LF/Util. - Also, you forgot to divide up the Royals and Tigers. I thought to myself, "When did the Royals pick up Craig Monroe?" - Also, not to sound like a jerk, but is it possible for people to respond without quoting the entire rest of the thread? It makes it a pain to look through. - Fielding data (Position-wise) from Yahoo player career stats
abacusand13south
Migeul Cabrera has started the past 2 games at third so I guess he should be given third base as his second position again.
CaptainSpooge
hey cubs fan... thats CAPTAIN spooge to you... no really... he thinks hes a captian... that would mean all he does is criticize you and your work while all he does is relax in a lazyboy keep up the work cubsfan... i agree with u... theyd better not implement this in the rosters until they have it halfway accurate Hey everybody, CFIF's boyfriend has shown up. How about this...they implement what they want to in THEIR ROSTER SET and you and your boyfriend can either download it or you can find another set to use. Pretty simple isn't it? BrewBomber
Bill Hall (Brewers) should be SS/UTIL, not 2B/IF He is a SS and also plays: 2B, 3B, and CF Magruder should be RF/OF

And he plays LF too, the way it stands now he plays whatever outfield position is open, if someone needs a day off that is where he plays For freel you have his 1st position as 2nd base, well he has more games for his career at 3rd, CF, & RF than 2nd
wolfy6finger
Pena should RF/CF (or OF) He has only 14 (9 starts) games in LF in his career, 75 in RF, 74 in CF, 1 at 3B in his career (ESPN.com)
