Cause i've spent the better part of 50 games played and i've tweaked it to as relistic as i can get it. I know from '05 to '06 beta the CPU hits more hrs and get more hits but i've come up with a game play tunning that suits what i think is competitive enough to have realistic outcomes. It updates the rosters as of mid-february or something 'cause that's when the mod was released. The MVP06 Final mod will be out in the end of April (probably) Install the MVP06 (Beta) first and then the extra stuff you want to add. Be sure to have the game updated with EA's patches before installing anything at all. pfalvey Posted April 12, 2006 Share Posted April 12, 2006 You won't download over any other file unless it has the same file name. It's not until you install that something like that would happen. Anyway, here is a good place to start as far as adding mods and such: 1. D/L and install an official EA patch, they are on this site. The 2 most popular seem to be #3 & #5. Some have had problems with #5 (myself included), I recommend #3. 2. D/L and install MVP06 Beta mod. Their are 2 versions, ILF and LL. They are the same mod, just 2 ways to install. 3. You may want to D/L a more recent roster. There are 2 good choices, Ultimate Rosters (UR) and Swingin Soriano's (SS). UR have accurate MLB rosters with Total Minors, while SS has more detailed MLB player ratings but basically only real prospects in AAA. I prefer SS myself, but to each his own. Make sure you D/L the correct version of the rosters and follow the readme to install them properly. 4. Those are the 3 I would start with, but there are several other mods that add alot to the game. If you like Old-time baseball I recommend Total Classics, it's pretty neat. I appreciate and admire everything all the modders have done, so let me send a big "thank you" out to all involved. That said, I do have a tiny request about the music. I absolutely loved the soundtrack to MVP 2005, and was wondering if there would be a way to install 06 without replacing the 2005 music. If not, then so be it, I'll still download and enjoy the 06 patch, but if there is a way to keep the old music, I'd appreciate it. I thought 3 was current bug fixes, and 4/5 were just roster updates with things containing from 2 and 3. So do I just install 5 and be done with it? Or can I just install 3? Or do I need to go in order from 1 to 5?
