All the players with the 'Attention' smilie icons next to them would have been definitely protected by their teams if it were a real expansion draft; the ones with a 'Question' smilie might have been protected, especially after the 1st round or 2nd round. However, I do think you should be hired as GM of the Brewers or Pirates, as they would love to have a team like yours, because my man are going to the playoffs!!! Angels- J.C. D-Unit, it is not so much the fact that I'm trying to be humble or not (it's a figure of speech). Since I'm not a real GM - and I don't think any of us here are - I'm giving my opinion humbly, but by no reasons am I saying that it is the only one, nor is it exactly right. I believe it is right or correct, but it is just an opinion, nothing more and nothing less. As for the capitalized NOT, well it was simply to add to the post that this specific fantasy expansion draft is not realistic, in any fashion or technique possibly dreamt or adhered to. As kennyess and kgbaseball said (and I believe I said), too many of these players would have been protected by their team. If you want a realistic expansion draft, you have to realize, that guys like Connor Jackson, Chris Duncan, Francisco Cordero, Tyler Yates, J.C. Romero, Felix Hernandez, and Yusemiro Petit (to name a few) are not even going to be within a nautical mile of being on the expansion-eligible draft lists. Now I listed 18 total (10 definite, 7 surely, and 1 borderline), and upon review maybe I overestimated Kinsler and Redmond (maybe Alexis Gomez), but that still leaves 15 players that most definitely wouldn't be allowed to be drafted. The esteemed kgbaseball says 10. Well, I guess he has an opinion that only puts 5 less players (not knowing the exact 10 he is thinking of) as worthy of protection. kennyess doesn't mention how many he feels, but the consensus seems to say the expansion pool was a "tad" rich for this specific draft. The point is, all three of us have our own opinions, which we are entitled to; and conversely you and NYM have yours, which you are most definitely entitled to. What makes these forums so much fun is we all have opinions: some on opposite sides of the spectrum, some in the middle, some leaning one way or another - all valid in any which way or fashion. By the Way, if anyone is a real GM of a baseball team here, I'd love to know your opinion on this issue, and also the timeless question of "recallable waivers" and why the heck we need them?
