Nice job. Gracie hasn't turned the record around, but the hitting has seen some steady improvements.

You're right, Mav. They way the team has been playing, it almost 'feels' like .500 ball, when in fact I'm 6 games over.

Not bad, not great, but with some patience and solidifying that bottom part of the lineup, the Cubbies could be in good shape in the next month.

That is a nice lead-in to the interview. Very nicely done.

Thanks, V. I actually heard (in the early 90's) that Kruk actually gave up his number for a case of beer. Don't remember who it was that came into Philly and wanted it, but Kruk was making the comment that guys would pay thousands of dollars to teammates to get their old number back.

When writing the interviews, I try to imagine their personalities and what the content of the conversation might be. Though he got a ring and swung a big stick for a couple of years, Kruk reminds me of a beer drinking soft ball player.

Grace has had more success, but he's about on the same level, very outspoken, but not overwhelming.

I still can't believe I said Cliff Lee. I guess I'll blame it on Kruk. :)

Hey Jr. Firts of all nice interview. Where are you getting those basball tonight images from. I was looking all over the web for something like that. (The John Kruk image)

I've Googled everything from 'Baseball Tonight' to 'John Kruk'. It's probably somewhere in between, ALB. :)

Where did you get that MVP Edit from, it looks different from the one I have, so I'm having some difficulties creating Kyler Burke.

It should be in the downloads section, ChiCubs16. Version 1.0 if I'm not mistaken.

I was originally going to finish the series with Colorado, and then post a Series Wrap Update, but I've got another nail biter going

Bottom 9, no outs, *Colorado 3 (Helton 3 run homer), Chicago 1*

Soriano singled to start the inning, and Izturis has singled to put two men on

Derrek Lee at the plate

Ramirez flies out deep to left center, Soriano tags and advances to third base

RHB Matt Murton in to pinch hit for LHB Scott Moore (LHP Jeremy Affeldt on the mound)

Murton singles to left, Soriano scores

Switch hitter Rob Bowen at the plate, runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs

*Colorado 3, Chicago 2*

Tough loss JR. Ouch. :headache:

Another 1-runner.

Fogg was all over the place. He walked 7 batters, and STILL I couldn't get a pitch to drive. I don't think he ever threw one over the middle of the plate.

Frustrating.

Tough loss is right!

Question - Can I see what Team a player is on in MVP Editor? AND do you use MVP Editor to do your transactions or do you just turn off fair trades?

Thanks

I don't think you can actually see what team a player is on, Phils. But to answer your second question, I turn off trades completely and use the Team Changer in the editor to tweak my rosters.

Change teams, make necessary adjustments, change back to the Cubbies. If it's a straight up trade, I just trade them within the game.

Ok - So then to find a player, like after the offseason, I just have to search through the rosters. Thanks JR.
