Homer Posted August 21, 2007 Share Posted August 21, 2007 there used to be a bunch of classic mods made, individual teams...what total classics did was bring all of those together. so what you get is a total conversion mod that turns your mvp baseball into a league full of the classic teams that were assembled. it is of course compiled into a wonderful presentation of more than just rosters of course. there are many cyberfaces, audio mods, overlays, stadiums...it's worth looking at. For example, in the '78 season mod, each team contains its 1978 roster, uniforms, portraits, cyberfaces, etc. and there is a 1978 theme to the mod (e.g. music, loading screens, menu screens, etc.). The same is true for the '61, '67, and '94 mods (well as the upcoming '64, '88 and '56 season mods). Total Classics 7 (and the upcoming Total Classics , on the other hand contains 120 individual classic teams that span almost 100 years (the 1905 Giants to the 2001 Diamondbacks). With Total Classics, you can do things like pitting the 1927 Yankees against the 1968 Cardinals. The possibilities are endless. Each team has has proper uniforms, portaits, cyberfaces, etc. There are generic classic loading screens and music, since the mod is not specific to any individual year.
