"I was playing in my Little League game and stole 3rd base directly from 1st. Earlier that day in school I learned the shortest distance between 2 points was a straight line." --- Steven Wright Harper is leading the Phils in OBP and OPS as he should. Like I sez .... all business and all effort.
-
Bryce "Threat To Steal" Harper, steals 3rd, 2nd and Home tonight. He means business. Can the Phils land a starter and maybe one more reliever for the pen?
-
I really don't like talking to you anymore or responding .... but you're quite delusional on this front.
-
And you don't think we know this by now becauuuuuuussssse............??
-
Aaron Nola is starting to turn into Jake Arrieta if he doesn't adjust fast. And I'm not sure why the Phils' reliever De Los Santos is ever allowed on a major league mound. This ump behind the plate is too inconsistent both ways tonight.
-
Starting to look like no lead is safe vs. the Mets.

You could really say this about anything: "At least anyone can save 15% in 15 minutes .... the Yankees would have save 0%"
-
Red Sox, RF Verdugo gets a ball thrown at him from the crowd prior to the start of the B6th in this evening's BOS/NYY game. Must be someone from Philly.

What a terrible person .... a terrible teammate: https://www.mlb.com/news/shohei-ohtani-donates-home-run-derby-earnings

Harper seems like he's all business lately. Not overly emotional, unless cheering on a good play. No goofiness or nonsense. Just all business. Wonder what the Phils locker room talk has been like lately.

This isn't a public contribution thread. If Laro missed a recent trade, just PM him. If you notice he has 99% of the submissions in here to keep it straight. (somebody can translate into Spanish if so desired)

It's cuz they brought their Natitude.
-
Phillies gotta make a move for a starting pitcher. Eflin has really been disappointingly up and down.
-
Hopefully Phils can move Alvarado by the deadline ..... He would look good in a [insert name of other team here] uniform. Maybe it took all of this to find the possible closer in Suarez. Nice to take the series in both Chitown and Beantown.

Phillies need to focus less on the value of homer hats and the value of getting consistent starting pitching. The Vince Velasquez experiment should have already come to an end. He's a bullpen pitcher.
-
Daniel Camarena --- how would you like to have been him yesterday? Mediocre reliever called up by the Padres. .179 BA in about 30 plate appearances in the minors and you hit a grand slam against a premiere MLB pitcher. And look where the ball was .... a 96 mph FB out of the zone and he golfs it out!

What a comeback by the Fathers! Love listening to the depressing tone in the Nats broadcasters when they go down. Bad Natitude!! And have a day, Brad Miller!!

Thanks, but we already have a guy who throws 101 and is blowing saves. Although Chapman is probably a much better fielder than Alvarado. Hell, I could probably go down to the local ball field and find a Babe Ruth league pitcher who is a better fielder than Alvarado. Cubs announcers sounding confused about Arrieta's pitching yesterday. I'm thinking "haven't you been watching this guy over the past 2 years? And you've expecting him to improve?" He's 35 years old and probably should have been pitching out of the pen 3-4 years ago. Nice for the Phils to have a bit of a lift me up series before heading into Beantown.

Nice moon shot by Bryce: https://www.mlb.com/video/bryce-harper-s-113-5-mph-home-run ...and nice stop by Didi. Can't believe they didn't have this as a separate highlight (go to 4:17 mark): https://www.mlb.com/gameday/padres-vs-phillies/2021/07/03/633390#game_state=final,lock_state=final,game_tab=videos,game=633390 Maybe Didi's return could be sparking something here. Seranthony ... where are you!?!

It downright makes you dizzy ..... and he's not even a show boater or anything like that.... just solid. Would never give you a reason to throw at him.
