I throw low 80's now, but I don't play baseball anymore, and I have had some shoulder issues. I am 25. ehhh Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 I think the fastest I was ever timed at was 64mph at an amusement park. Pretty pathetic considering I'm 6'8" 230. gowingsgo8803 Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 I'm 20 to begin with. I've been told that I throw a lot harder than I do faster, if that makes any sense. My four seamer tops at 60 at last check (2 years ago, maybe up a few MPH since then). My cutter and two seamer are a little slower, but I'm more of a movement guy. I throw a power curve, two types of changeups, and a sinker. I'm also not a natural pitcher.
