If and when they give it another patch I'll come back and give it 1 more shot, but for now back to MVP I go. Mike, that might explain some things... With MVP when i made solid contact, i knew it. I play '09 The Show on my PSP a lot, but MVP '08 is still really solid. That game is f'in nice. I don't even care about the dated graphics. The gameplay makes up for that. They devs have probably moved on already Customer support says they are working on one, but that is all out sourced now so who really knows... I doubt most of them have ever even seen the game. That said... 2K9 isn't the best baseball game ever made but for now i will use it for my franchise simply because MVP is a generation behind as far as controls go and also is NOT perfect either...i would suggest using your imagination a little when a glitch happens...after all ANYTHING can happen in baseball and it is still just a video game. I didn't like the way he said it, but he spoke the truth none the less. MVP isn't perfect, but it's WAY closer then 2K9 will ever be. Use my imagination when a glitch happens? To imagine what? I would like to imagine a game that actually plays like advertised, but that's a little too far fetched for 2K9. Anything can happen in baseball? When was the last time you seen MLB outfielders playing like they are in little league? Or when the 3B decides he wants to play with the dirt instead of fielding the play coming right at him? Or maybe even when the catcher gets the ball way ahead of the runner coming to home plate, and decides he'll run right threw him instead of just getting the tag? The list goes on and on... MVP is a generation behind as far as graphics and it ends there. The core of MVP is solid - much more solid than 2K9's core. Core meaning the physics of the ball interacting with the bat, pitch counts, AI batter / pitcher behavior, and stuff like that. I didn't pay money to overlook glitches. Especially the bat/ball contact issues and the ball getting sucked into the SS glove all make me wonder now whether this game is even really playable. I bet a lot of this happens unbinounced to us as we play...pathetic. I think the kid in the video, although verbally challenged, brings up a number of issues with gaming, particularly pc gaming today. It seems that a lot of gaming manufacturers are simply releasing console ports that wouldn't normally pass beta forcing us to be free beta testers...then releasing patches months down the road after the official release. This has been getting worse over the years it seems. If anyone else knows about the ongoing fiasco with Rockstar and the PC version of GTA IV, they know what I'm talking about. It's a sad sad story how people are ditching this after a month. It's going to be hard playing MVP after having those 2k9 graphics on my screen, but I'll fight through it.
