  1. Not sure what's happening but there is an option to change the umpire shirts
  2. It allows you to import/export 3D stuff like the vistas from outside the park (stuff like buildings, trees, etc), resize textures within the game, and edit in-game text. Most importantly, it allows you to view everything that is inside an .IFF file that all the other tools can't show you.
  3. There's a file within global.iff that deals with lighting that I can't extract although it is a texture. Vlad is looking into it. This could be the file I've spent a long time looking for.

  5. All the text including jukebox info is in English.iff.
  6. The editor will read and list texture names for unmodded files only. If I loaded up DaSteelerz' Yankee Stadium, the file names don't exist and are listed as File1 thru File15.

  9. SSAO enabled. This effect looks to me like it gives the players some weight. There are shadows where there should have been, but alas, this is a DirectX 9 game. What you're looking for is shadowing/darker areas around the hands, arms/armpit areas among other places.
  10. Found out how to enable SSAO (Ambient Occlusion) in the game the right way on my nVidia card (GTX 750Ti) and it looks legitimately next-gen to me. WOW.
  11. Try this version of the roster. It should work now. I just tested it on a dummy Astros franchise and it worked through the draft with 0 issue. Roster_May14.zip

  20. I never made any Expos jerseys for release. I remember doing them as a proof of concept, like the all black early '00s Astros Alternates, but they will never see the light of day as I would need to do an entire font conversion and I know I wouldn't do it right.
  21. I can, if I was really motivated enough, cover all of the uniforms made for a franchise. I made the 1998 Diamondbacks and 2001 road sets from scratch with custom fonts/shadows, for example. It's really just a matter of finding the right uniform that has the right number/logo positioning and modding the logos/fonts to fit that space. It's just not worth the effort to me to find literally high quality logos from 1920 or whatever since I try really hard to not settle for "good enough" or "eh it's pretty close". I mean, I don't know man. It's an integrity issue with me. If I can't do it right, I just won't do it at all.

Also, I've been advocating new manager faces for quite a while but it's either hard to find manager portraits (which is funny because a lot of the new managers are former players), or nobody cares enough to do anything since you'd hardly notice. But guys like me do. I always look for little things. Subtlety matters. I have a global.iff update in the works and I'm done. I couldn't possibly be bothered to make more uniforms or stadium tweaks anymore unless Vlad from NBA-Live releases his .iff tool but even then, there isn't much possible to do other than 2X the jerseys and given that this is a DirectX 9 game, there isn't much I can do visually other than hex editing, which I have 0 experience in doing and I don't know what to look for. I haven't modded MVP in a long time, and my only recent work on it was a PSD template pack that I had to find sources for.
  23. uniform_ard.iff holds manager jacket textures, logos and scorebug/replay logos.
