Looking like a great lineup Jed. Who in the world is Luis Avilan? Do you mean the ATL pitcher who pitched 36 innings as a rookie last year? Jed...if I could say... your speed on attending to these is remarkable. I know I sound like a broken record (sorry, that's an oldies term ) but Posey's nose seems a little wide at the bridge and maybe needs to be a bit longer (in this pic below I think he is looking up a bit):

Jed or Jogar.... I'm not sure who did the last Buster Posey face, and while it's appearance is great, it seems to have this violet hue. Any chance of an adjustment there?

Is there a MVP 2005 instruction manual anywhere?
Gordo replied to cbates's topic in MVP Baseball 2005
One thing I would add is that with some video cards / settings, if your game is running the same resolution as your desktop, you may not be able to do so. You may get "stuck" in the game screen (though after trying to minimize you are stuck without function as well, until you find where the minimized program tab is located in your taskbar). -
Nolasco looks spot on. It's hard to tell in the angle on the Arroyo pic, but his nose seems too stout. Maybe a bit less pudgy and slightly longer? Again, it could be the angle of the snapshot that you took.

I've already zero'd him out :)

You're more than welcome...but there's going to be more! I found, after posting above, the number rankings I was looking for via FanGraphs for fielding! I'll now be able to do comparative numbers for arm strength and range. There will probably still be upper limits on range (as I think that 15 via the editor is simply too superhuman), but I'll have a chance to have more consistency, though I won't know what to do with CAPs.

Giving you guys a preview for this coming season's Base Up! Rosters. In addition to, of course, the correct moves, this year's edition will feature: * updated hot/cold zones for every player who played even in a nominal amount of MLB games as given by MLB Gameday box score extended features. *adjusted contact/power numbers for proper splits based on recent avgs. *all starters and relievers (with nominal appearances) will have control numbers adjusted for 2012 ERA numbers as well as adjustments for accurate pitch types and speeds. *speeds adjusted for necessary players. *AAA teams with greater accuracy and overall fuller organizations to help avoid freezing/crashing. That's all I can think of for now..... working on others tweaks to improve gameplay to be as sim as possible while you're actually in game.

Tremendous. And they are working well online too. Cant wait to see these.

Ty made some great apps but I found his instructions sometimes confusing.

Thanks for posting the results. Not enough guys do that. The .sav file is only going to be "readable" and manipulated within the game. You won't be able to use the .sav file, if that's where you do your changes (vs. mvpedit) within mvpedit.
-
Are you trying to update an existing dynasty/season? Won't show in an existing. Do you have more than one install of the game? If so, it may be exporting to the other folder. If only one install, do this: make a new folder on your desktop; open mvpedit and your roster update; export the dat files to that new folder you created; go the folder and zip the files (copy the zip file); go to your MVP database folder and manually delete those 19 dat files that currently exist; paste the zip file; extract it. You can rest your mouse on one of those dat files and it should show the date that you last made a modification to your roster. Go into the game and if it is still not working (though I can't imagine that), go into roster management and click on reset rosters.

It was offensive to White House interns! (ba-dum-tsshhhh)

Who said 13 was unlucky!!??!!

That is excellente!!!

...and before you move a pitcher who is in a #1 slot, move him to a different slot.

Presently making roster moves for next year. My next "global edit" is going to assign better throw strength/accuracy numbers for catchers based on last year's stats of how many runners they gunned down percentage wise. Man, I don't know what I'd do without MLBDepthCharts and Baseball-Reference.com Went back to playing as the Phils and after getting stymied as the Indians in the first 3 games (3 runs in 3 games!). Who says this game has comeback logic? I just was able to pull off back to back 9th inning come from behind victories vs. the Chisox and the Twins. PHI4.rar PHI5.rar
-
Hey Jed.... any chance for a Kevin Frandsen update for this year (already has a slot)? He played 55 games for the Phils after being called up in late July and will most likely be a staple back-up IF for the Phils this year.
-
The problem may be that you're working inside the .sav file, meaning the only program to access it is the game itself. Try to create him new in a new dynasty and see if the numbers carry over. If they don't, then you've answered your question. (By stats do you mean attributes as well or is it that the percentages he's earned aren't what you're expecting?)

2013 mod is gonna be tremendous! And this is definitely going to help!

Roster forwarded to you guys who requested. This will be the base for next year's roster. Here's my first "official" season game using the 29 game schedule. Playing as the Indians, I was no match for Josh Johnson. Good hit variety and overall stats again. Stanton robbed me at the wall in this one too! CLE1.rar

Basically, I'm done. Just need to tweak the pitchers' batting numbers for several NL and AL teams. Reducing very poor hitters to <15 unless they are listed as pitchers who registered enough AB's for warranting looking at higher numbers. Other than that, should be done Sunday at some point. Just did a test game vs. the Angels with a good pitcher and good hitting squad (therefore, took Darvish and the Rangers). Won 4-1, but that was thanks to a 2 run throwing error by C.J. Wilson who had a ball go off his glove and then made an errant throw attempting to get the runner at 3rd. Really great hit variety in this game. Bloopers, liners, solid hits. No homers, but Trout took one to the RF wall for a double and I believe it was Ianetta who took one to the base of the wall in left. I had Kinsler hit back to back foul ball HR's only to go fishing high for strike three. Darvis and Nathan fended of 5 Angels' doubles in all to hold them to a single run despite 9 hits overall. Beltre and Cruz both doubled for the Rangers, each scoring. Trout also hit into a DP, but did throw a guy out at the plate attempting to score.
