This will install one of 4 generic portraits by position when a portrait is not available or done incorrectly for a player. Roster will be updated to reflect this. Install with TiT.
  2. Hey folks, let laroquece manage this thread please. If you think you see he missed anything, please PM him.
  3. ^^^ Cyberface or Photo ID for Luke Voit?? Also, Gavi Nivar has 2 Photo IDs in the list. It is probably NOT 4927 and should remain as 626?
  4. Just getting confirmation that generic position IDs will be as follows: 4940 generic pitcher 4941 generic catcher 4942 generic infielder 4913 generic outfielder I hope this is okay as discussed.
  5. Thank you for doing this. However, it looks like you're not differentiating Photo/Audio ID's (which are actually 4 digit IDs from 0000 to 9999) and CyberFace ID's (001-900). You may want to make a distinction. Actually, trying to use #900 for a cyberface could be why Max Kepler face is probably crashing the game. I think he should be reassigned. I can test this easily. Also, Photo ID's 4922 - 4951 should be reassigned. Oscar did this, then forgot these were dedicated to team type Photo IDs and never fixed it. Therefore these players should be reassigned: 4922 - 4951 are the following team logos that substitute for an ID when there has not been one made for a player at the MLB level: Also, the only CyberFace actually available of those 5 above on this site is Blake Snell. (Also, it's Nick Tropeano, not Toropeano). I don't change the numbers in the roster file until I see that the cyberface is actually completed.
  6. Rhys Hoskins has a cyberface available here on the site and is using Face no. 881. You can install that face and easily change that face ID in the associated .dat file or via MVPedit.
  7. Please note, IDs in this pack, 4922 - 4951 were created in error. These numbers are reserved for the generic team logo when a player's portrait has not yet been made. The file creator here relied on the rosters for the official IDs and not the official ID list (he has been contacted).

NOTE: THIS IS AN MLB ONLY ROSTER! I've replaced the player IDs for those who don't have any kind of an accurate portrait with the default team portraits I had made previously. I took those down but reposted them (portraits downloads section). You may want to install them. If portraits are made for any of these players, ID nos. can always be easily changed back. Great thanks to Laroquece for his assistance for helping with adjustments and tweaks as well as others who have provided information and suggestions as well. This roster is a culmination of all of the updates done throughout the year including defensive ratings, batting ratings, pitcher styles, types, speed and trajectories, hot/cold zones, player speeds, etc. Many newer players added/created as best as possible. If you find any mistakes (batting stances, pitching styles, jersey numbers, etc.), please PM me and I'll include the fixes, if warranted, in the next update, or if there are enough I'll upload another version. Since "Placeholder" players (last name) were put in to fill the empty slots, these rosters can be used with injuries and suspensions set to "ON" without crashing. Most every team has 24-25 players. If you want to use these rosters to create another version or a roster incorporating MiLB, just ask (as someone already has in reference to a standard only roster). If you are thinking of making a MiLB roster set, you can alter the existing "Placeholder" players. INSTALLATION: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EA SPORTS\MVP 2005 (or whatever you named it)\data\database subfolder. DELETE the existing 19 .dat files. Unzip this roster file to that location. DO NOT SIMPLY OVERWRITE! **If you're going to give feedback, please make it intelligent. If you don't know what you're doing or you're one of the only few who is having trouble, then don't leave me negative feedback. Ask questions in the comments area or PM me!! Thanks.
  9. Any portrait here that was not created with an official cyberface is going to have the number "0000". This is going to do nothing in game. You can't have every one of these players have the same ID no. and you can't change the number of the portrait after it's done. The bottom line is that these would have to be done all over again.
  10. Although the faces may be great, there are no official IDs in keeping with the community here. If you install these faces, you run the risk of overwriting many of your existing cyberfaces because, as it has been done many times before, there are created cyberfaces here with no regard to what already has been done. There are just haphazard cyberface nos. assigned (e.g. Brock Stassi in this pack is face no. 530. No. 530 has already been assigned to Brad Boxberger --- most likely all 129 faces in here will disrupt 129 existing faces).

  11. Okay cool...as long as we can make it work. It looks like the latest portraits are needing official IDs as well. Thanks guys.
  12. Partitioning was discussed around here, possibly even in this thread. I would search that term. You won't get any recommendations on how to get W7 other than by conventional means. You'll have to buy it.
  13. Agreed. This is going to get disorganized as long as guys are making new items that rely on ID nos. (for portraits and cyberfaces). Then there's going to potentially be more problems with things being mismatched in game. Additionally, we really need a predominantly English speaking member to do this.
  14. Remember, the 901-915 are for cyber (3D) faces and are the default ones for the game. Anything lower than that would have to be a custom cyberface made by someone and they can cause crashes. The portrait (and audio) IDs are 4 digit IDs from 0000 - 9999 (I believe). These have nothing to do with the cyberfaces, only the 2D portraits (and audio).
  15. I don't think anyone here is comfortable instructing you on how to install Windows 7 other than the conventional way. If you have the install disk, I assume you can get online support about where to find your key if you don't have it. With one internal HDD, of course you can install Win7 on there, but are you wanting to wipe what's on there now? You need to give more information.
  16. I don't think messing with secdrv is something condoned around here, not sure. I still think it would be easiest to partition or add a HDD if you can and then install Windows XP or 7.

    Site Issues

April 2019 update looks really good. Like the way you can customize the colors. Had to bump up the zoom to 110% on my browser and it looks perfect. Well done!! Did notice that I couldn't enter anything into the shoutbox, but a shoutbox isn't make or break for me on a website. Still think that the individual pages are way to long. About half the length I think would be ideal. Just my preference is all.
Completely unexpected, but totally welcomed to keep things going as best as possible with this game. Thanks as always!!
  18. I'm sorry, this is an English speaking site. Perhaps someone can help you at MVPCaribe.

  21. Yes, make sure you are deleting the 19 .dat files in there from a conversion mod and unzip these to that same database subfolder location. Reboot your PC. When you go into the manager's area, since these are now your "base" rosters, they have to show. If you've already started a season/franchise, no, they will not show in there because you've already saved the season to a separate file (which ends up getting saved in you 'documents' area). Update your 2015 conversion mod with any and all faces subsequent to the 2015 release date. You do have to watch that any given cyberface is and should be using the official ID or the face will mismatch and not show properly in game. Let me know if that's causing you trouble.
  22. In light of Chris Davis' awful start and terrible season, re-calculated his batting attributes (not even counting the 2019 start) and here's what you could/should change it to: vs. R ~~ Contact: 51; Power 62 vs. L ~~ Contact: 47; Power 59 How to do this without MVPedit: Go to your main MVP folder, open data > database. Open 'lhattrib.dat' (in something like WordPad or NotePad); search for 'Davis' (probably will be the second one you find); change the 2nd slot (labeled '2') to 47 and change the 3rd slot to 59. Make sure you save the file. Open 'rhattrib.dat' and do the same thing for vs. R. **Note: this will not affect your current season/franchise, only the base/default rosters. (If you look across the top of these dat files, it shows what slot affects what attributes.)
Always a welcomed update..... it's a detail in game that makes things seem more authentic. Thanks very much!
