  1. My guess is probably around the time someone finds a reliable and crash-free solution for that.
  2. That's what people keep telling me, and judging by how competitions have grown in participants, I don't doubt it. And when I was in Amsterdam I saw people playing catch in parks on more than one occasion. I have a Dutch friend, and he told me baseball is quite popular there. Maybe it's a regional thing, I don't know. We're going off topic too much, maybe we should start a thread for people to share how they discovered baseball. Americans could share Little League stories and Europeans can share how we came across this game.
  3. Off-topic: I make my living off a totally different sport, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Fastest growing sport on Earth. On-topic: No need to rush, it will be done when it's done. Great work so far.
  4. Even though this is just a game, I can't tell you how happy I am to see A-Roid get the hell out of New York. God bless you. Thank you so much for this moment.
  5. I'm from Portugal, where there is no baseball at all despite great weather for it. My story isn't much different from wudl's. ESPN and video games turned me into a fan many years ago, but I've only followed baseball seriously for the last 5-6 years. I've always been intrigued about the matchup between pitcher and hitter, and how it's still a team game with so many one on one situations. I learned the rules by playing and then used the internet to learn as much as I could about the game's history and how it developed. Ken Burns' Baseball also helped. The last thing I do before I go to bed is check the scores. And it's also the first thing I do when I turn on the computer/tv in the morning. Liking baseball is something totally weird for my friends and people in general, but I don't mind. As for soccer, I'm still a big fan. I watch Benfica's (a big soccer team here and in Europe) every single game. But the Yankees are not that far in my heart.
  6. I did that last year with Ty's editor for a franchise I was playing with the Yankees. My goal was to put Mariano Rivera and Pineda on the DL, in order to make the game more realistic. I remember that it took some work to get done and then I kind of stopped playing that franchise because I'd only done that to my team and there were a bunch of other players that should have been on the DL, such as Victor Martinez, etc. Still, it's a great suggestion for the roster makers: - Include a franchise file with all the injuries along with the rosters file. Or at least those injuries that sideline players for an entire season. I don not know how Reditor works or if it is any better than Ty's with injuries and DL though.
  7. I wanted to write something, but the Yankees keep adding what appear to be random players to their roster, so I'll just write this: - Vernon Wells
  8. Chien-Ming Wang. Really. I know he's an injury waiting to happen. But at only 32, I wonder how this young kid will fit with all the other old Yankees.
  9. I kinda used to tease my dad about how he looked compared to Harrison Ford. Screw that now, my dad wins! I didn't even notice the song until you guys mentioned it.
  10. Man, Harrison Ford got old...
  11. Thats what happens. You start a franchise, all injuries heal.
  12. That would be nice, but won't the game 'erase' whatever injuries there were whenever you start a franchise?
  13. As far as I know, no one has been able to do that until now.
  14. A clean shaven Youkilis would be a must have for every Yankee's fan.
  15. 2013 baseball: Pitchers will pitch, hitters will hit, and somehow A-Roid will find new and different ways to suck.

  16. I've been meaning to get 'The Bronx is Burning' for quite a while. I watched the series some time ago, wasn't bad.
  17. So Brennan Boesch was signed in order to move Juan Rivera from the OF to 1B for the time Teixeira is out. How's this for random? Really? There is really no-one in the minor league system who can provide 6 weeks of league average defense and hit over .200? Does the Yankee minor league system suck that bad?! I'm half expecting to hear that Cashman signed Manny Ramirez and Vlad Guerrero. They're old and brittle, they fit the mold.
  18. Maybe they won't suck as bad as last year and they'll finally understand that you can't have 9 guys trying to hit homers.
  19. I know man, it's plenty of work the rosters alone. You could just do something like: I recommend X cyberfaces, or Y jerseys.
  20. Ben Francisco brought two runs in with a double yesterday. Clearly someone who's not used to the Yankees way of doing things with RISP. I'm guessing Girardi will sit him today and show him how the other kids do so he can learn.
  21. Will try the latest rosters, and then leave feedback as soon as I can. Cheers. I see you've established a partnership with raidersbbal20 for the portraits, and it should be awesome. My suggestion is that you associate with some other talented modders in order to make your rosters even better. Off the top of my head I can remember a couple of great cyberface makers who definitely belong with your work, or should at least be recommended. Same with jerseys. :good:
  22. Please don't forget to make them brittle and fragile, they're old...
  23. Yankees of course! I think whatever gives you the least trouble would be everyone's choice :good:
