  1. I'm just praying that the rumours are true and that somehow the Yankees can get out A-Roid's contract. Watching Youkilis celebrate that triple play yesterday was something odd. I mean, THIS guy is THAT happy FOR the Yankees??? Looking at his current batting average and level of enthusiasm I wonder why I ever took Joba's side when they were feuding. Let's just hope he doesn't hurt himself soon. Oh, Phil Hughes just gave up a HR. But that's not random, it's just expected. I had so low expectations for this team that I'm actually excited for their current record. It's been fun so far. I'm sure it will go downhill soon. People in Samoa aren't obese. They're just huge. Check 60 Minutes' piece about Football and the Samoans. They're not fat, they're robust. And just now Cervelli tags out Mclouth at the plate. I liked him before, but with each day that passes I'm becoming a real fan of Cervelli. He really is better than he was before. At least so far. Just had two Americans training with us this week. Couldn't be farther from the 'ugly american' stereotype. Oh, and by the way, they live in Afghanistan, still found a way to keep training and still took the time to come to my little town, in my little country, to our little Gym and take the time to learn from us, share experiences and in general be great people. Amen to that. Hafner HR just now. He's not injured yet...
  2. You mean linking a players name to some other audio file? If there is a field in the roster files that does just that, it might be possible. However, if the game links the name to an audiofile automatically, I don't think that's possible. People have asked about editing sound in 2KSports games before but so for, no-one has been able to do so.
  3. 1. From what I read that might be impossible to work around. I believe the game has the number of teams in each division hard-coded. (Not that the Astros would be noticed anyway, they'd be dead last in either league.)
  4. Can't you just turn that off in-game?
  5. Now that is a different story.
  6. Excellent, 5 stars.
  7. This has to be some kind of a record. 8 years, wow.
  8. Depends on what else the editor can do that might interest you, I think. Houston to AL and the new schedule are cool and all, but if allows you to play only for one season and then crashes then it's potential is a bit limited. Are there any other features that you might use for this project?
  9. Awesome, I was waiting for that!
  10. As we say in my sport: OSS Much respect Wudl. Will try them soon and get back to you with the feedback.
  11. My guess is probably around the time someone finds a reliable and crash-free solution for that.
  12. That's what people keep telling me, and judging by how competitions have grown in participants, I don't doubt it. And when I was in Amsterdam I saw people playing catch in parks on more than one occasion. I have a Dutch friend, and he told me baseball is quite popular there. Maybe it's a regional thing, I don't know. We're going off topic too much, maybe we should start a thread for people to share how they discovered baseball. Americans could share Little League stories and Europeans can share how we came across this game.
  13. Off-topic: I make my living off a totally different sport, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Fastest growing sport on Earth. On-topic: No need to rush, it will be done when it's done. Great work so far.
  14. Even though this is just a game, I can't tell you how happy I am to see A-Roid get the hell out of New York. God bless you. Thank you so much for this moment.
  15. I'm from Portugal, where there is no baseball at all despite great weather for it. My story isn't much different from wudl's. ESPN and video games turned me into a fan many years ago, but I've only followed baseball seriously for the last 5-6 years. I've always been intrigued about the matchup between pitcher and hitter, and how it's still a team game with so many one on one situations. I learned the rules by playing and then used the internet to learn as much as I could about the game's history and how it developed. Ken Burns' Baseball also helped. The last thing I do before I go to bed is check the scores. And it's also the first thing I do when I turn on the computer/tv in the morning. Liking baseball is something totally weird for my friends and people in general, but I don't mind. As for soccer, I'm still a big fan. I watch Benfica's (a big soccer team here and in Europe) every single game. But the Yankees are not that far in my heart.
  16. I did that last year with Ty's editor for a franchise I was playing with the Yankees. My goal was to put Mariano Rivera and Pineda on the DL, in order to make the game more realistic. I remember that it took some work to get done and then I kind of stopped playing that franchise because I'd only done that to my team and there were a bunch of other players that should have been on the DL, such as Victor Martinez, etc. Still, it's a great suggestion for the roster makers: - Include a franchise file with all the injuries along with the rosters file. Or at least those injuries that sideline players for an entire season. I don not know how Reditor works or if it is any better than Ty's with injuries and DL though.
  17. I wanted to write something, but the Yankees keep adding what appear to be random players to their roster, so I'll just write this: - Vernon Wells
  18. Chien-Ming Wang. Really. I know he's an injury waiting to happen. But at only 32, I wonder how this young kid will fit with all the other old Yankees.
  19. I kinda used to tease my dad about how he looked compared to Harrison Ford. Screw that now, my dad wins! I didn't even notice the song until you guys mentioned it.
  20. Man, Harrison Ford got old...
  21. Thats what happens. You start a franchise, all injuries heal.
  22. That would be nice, but won't the game 'erase' whatever injuries there were whenever you start a franchise?
  23. As far as I know, no one has been able to do that until now.
