2, Expos and that Independent league team (hey, it's technically not Minor Leagues....)

I was originally thinking it was the 1976 Olympics, but there was no baseball back then.

There was also another team in 2003,Canada created the Canadian baseball League and one of the teams was the Montreal Royales, the league was very unpopular and it only lasted 1 season.

Okay folks, here's one:

There once was a pitcher. A really good pitcher. He holds the record for highest winning percentage against the New York Yankees among pitchers who had 15 or more wins against them. His all-time record against the Yankees was 17-5, who was this mighty Yankee killer?

Here are 3 about Griffey Jr.

(This one is very, very easy)

Agains what pitcher did Griffey Jr. hit his 500th Homerun in 2004?

a) Chris Carpenter, Cardinals

B) Matt Morris, Cardinals

c) Mark Prior, Cubs

d) Woody Williams, Cardinals (now in SD)

e) Ray King, Cardinals

f) Ryan Dempster, Cubs

(Here's a dificult one)

Against what team did Griffey Jr. hit his first hit in his carrer?

a) Boston

B) Oakland

c) Yankees

d) Angels

e) Pirates

f) D'Backs

(Another easy question)

In the 97 season with the Mariners, Griffey Jr. almost won the triple crown: in that season he hit: 56 Homeruns, 147 RBI's, .304 AVG

To win the triple crown you need to have more RBI's, HR's, and the best AVG. In what thing Griffey failed and costed him the triple crown?

a) Homeruns (HR)

B) Runs batted in (RBI)

c) Batting Average (AVG)

(the answers in my next post)

Don't know if these have been asked.
