  1. AL Central Uniforms with Official Team Colors

These are the 5 AL Central team home and road uniforms with colors corrected to match the official MLB style guide. I still think Minnesota's road uniform colors are ugly, but I double-checked, and it's right.

    Extract ALCentralUniforms.zip to C:\ProgramFIles\2K Sports\Major League Baseball 2K12.

    Extract RosterCOLORCORRECTED.zip to C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\Major League Baseball 2K12\Saves.

Then load the roster (RosterCOLORCORRECTED) in-game.

  3. AL East Uniforms in Official Colors

These are the 5 AL East teams' home and road uniforms, with colors corrected to match the official MLB style guide. Orioles orange is much brighter now, Red Sox and Yankees blue is much darker. Also the Red Sox and Yankees road greys are much lighter. I plan on doing all the teams; it enhances the realism a lot when the colors are correct.

    Extract ALEASTUniforms.zip to C:\Program Files\2K Sports\Major League Baseball 2K12.

    Extract RosterCOLORCORRECTED.zip to C:\Users\(yourname)\Documents\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\Major League Baseball 2K12\Saves.

Then, in-game, load the new roster file (RosterCOLORCORRECTED).

Thanks to DetroitStyle for explaining how to use Ty's editor! Thanks to Ty Wiggins for the editor!

The Phillies joined the national league in 1883,only 6 years after the league was
formed.Evidence of early philly uniforms are sparse but team photos from the 1890's
show abbreviated city name PHILA on the shirt fronts, some versions (possibly home unis)
either show and old english or standard capital P on others. From 1901 for almost a decade
sketchy evidence suggest that trim colors may have been black, red or maroon.
With the letter P on the front left breast.Caps were the standard pillbox type.
During the Grover Alexander years the 1910 home and road unis took a distinct
change from previous years.Horace Fogel chose green as the trim colors to match
his colors to the rebuilt park. The jerseys were the fold up cadet type collar accented in green,
As were the sleeve ends. The home uni had an old english "P" while the road was a block "P".
Home caps had the round crown with green visor and piping down the seams.Whiler
the road was solid grey.In 1911 a rookie pitcher named Grover Alexander won 28 games
and had the league buzzing. He even helped them win a pennant in 1915 but after
the 1917 season and the Phils woes began. The Phils had plunged in the league cellar by 1919
In 1921 they took a change in uniforms with the most significant change in over a decade
by going with the now popular V neck style uni.Pinstripes were also introduced on
both home and away.By WWll with the image of 2 losing decades it was decided
that the Philadelphia National League club was to rechristened as the "Blue Jays".
For whatever reason the name failed to catch on nor was it ever implemented
into the uniform graphics except for a brief appearance of a blue jay symbol on the
sleeve,in fact the name phillies was still displayed on the unis even though the
new nickname was supposedly official. The post war was a rebirth of hope for the phils,
as a new crop of talent appeared,Del Ennis,Robin Roberts and Curt Simmons.
The rebirth and new uniforms for 1946 were red white and blue and remained
for the next 3 seasons and symbolized the resurgence of the phillies as they were
a legitimate pennant contender.1950 was a memorable year for the phils as they
    captured a pennant after a 35 year draught.These were the fabled"Whiz Kids"
who caught the fancy of baseball fans nation wide.As to anticipate a milestone season
the uniforms were another totally new look.Gone were the traces of blue and red
was now the dominate color.Solid red stockings ,caps and undershirts and plus a daring
red pinstripes on the home whites. This was the new look for the 50's and has been the base
of the look that we see today with minor changes here and there.
1970 was a brand new era for phily, the fans said goodbye to connie mack stadium and entered
the era of artificial turf and pillarless seats. The new unis also had a look of the future
with a new stylized "P",modernized numbers, stripes all the way up the sides,
and a deeper burgundy shade of red for the trim color and kept the pinstripes for the
home uni.The road grey gave way to a more bluish shade(a symptom of the TV age)
Except for a disasterous expirement with an all burgundy edition in 1979,this new
graphics and look was accepted since thier 1970 introduction

On April 8 1969 a dream to have a major league team in San Diego became a reality
when the new Padres defeated the Houston Astros 2-1 in the season opener.Former
Dodgers exec Buzzy Bavasi was the principle architec to the new franchise. In some ways
it was a continuation of trhe PCL Padres, merely elevating the operation to ML status.
The nickname and color scheme of Padre brown and gold were carried over from the
AAA Padre uniforms. The first 3 summers were standard stuff solid brown caps, unsershirts,
and stockings with some gold striping, buttoned shirts and belted trousers. The home unis
were white with Padres arched across the front. The road unis broke from an old tradition
using tan instead of grey or blue grey. With the double knits become tradition in the early
70;s,the Padres overhauled thier unis to use these double knits in 1972.For the balance of
the decade the club istablished some sort of record for the most changes in uniform
designs in consectative year periods. The only consistency was the keeping of the team colors
brown and gold. The first double knits sets in 1972 were madeof a dazzling gold
material with brown lettering.1973Home and road were identical except
for the name Padres vs San Diego.1974 the home jerseys were back to white with
the name padres in dodger style script.Instead of using the alternate cap from 72-73
it was now the main cap which had a triangled front in gold and brown bill and brown back
with interlocking S-D monogram in brown. In 1976 they now went with a softball type look
with brown torso and gold raglan sleeves and the name San Diego in gold capitals.
1978 this type of uni was restyled again with the home team having a white torso,
and the lettering was now horizontal and not arched in both home and away.
1980 to 1984 the Padres went a stretch with out any changes.

In 2004 the Padres started a new tradition that they still do every year. The have 1 game or sometimes at holidays will wear a camo uniform in honor of the men and women who serve in the armed forces.

On May 27 1968 the national sport became international as the National League
awarded the city of Montreal one of the 2 expansion franchises for the 1969 season.
Inspired by the worlds fair the name Expos was chosen as the new team nickname.
They were to play their home games at Jarry Park the home field of the former AAA
International League.Red white and royal blue was chosen as the team colors
keeping with the prevalent French speaking influences,A large stylized M in these 3 colors
was designed as a team emblem and would be on the left breast of the jersey. The
logo was quite unique it actually was an "Meb".The M was the whole Emblem while the
small red area was the "e" and the blue area was the "b" and it stood for Montreal Expos Baseball.
The home uni was regulation white while the road unis would be powder blue.
Undershirts and socks were blue while the caps had a blue bill, white front and red center
and blue in the back.Even in the mid 70's when most teams went with the double knit unis,
the Expos kept the button down style. They remained unchanged until 1981
when they added a blue and red stripe from the sleeve ends up to the neck line and
and down the sides of the jersey and down the sides of the pants.
On September 29 2004 MLB annonced that the Expos would move to Washington DC.
The Expos finished their final game at Shea Stadium against the Mets who was the first opponent
they faced at its start 35 years earlier.

A few teams called Washington DC home. The Senators who were one of the founding mebers of the AL
Played thier from 1901 to 1960 and moved to Minnesota to become the Twins.
A second Washington Senators from 1961-1971 then moved to Arlinton Texas
to become the Rangers.Washington then spent the next 33 years without a team.
Although there was sentiment to revive the name Senators, political considerations
factored into the choice Nationals.Politicians and others in the District Of Columbia
objected to the name Senators because DC does not have voting representation
in congress. In addition the Texas Rangers still had the owning rights to the
Senators name.Coincidently sitting in as president at the time was former owner
of the Rangers George W Bush. There was also more opposition from Peter Angelos
owner of nearby Baltimore Orioles. They had been the only franchise in the Balto Wash Metro area.
He had considered it as a single market. He contended that the O's would suffer
finacially if another team entered the market even though they shared the market from 1954 thru 1971.
This reasoning disturbed many in Washington as they recalled it was the Senators who
allowed the St Louis Browns to move to Balto in 1954.March 31 2005 Angelos and MLB
struck a deal against any finacial harm the Nationals might present.Under the terms
television and radio rights to Nationals games are handled by the O's.Fans
were frustrated because for the first 2 season most in the DC area missed almost the entirety
of the Nats first 2 seasons. The Nationals are the only team who does not own thier own broadcast rights.

When Ben Johnson decided to make the American League a "major league"in 1901
it was important to establish a foothold in major eastern cities and Baltimore had
recent history of success with the legendary NL Orioles of the 1890's and was eager
to reenter the major leagues.Ex Oriole John McGraw was hired as manager.
The home version of the Orioles uniforms are uncertain but the road unis were well documented,
and extrordinary, black caps, black shirts with a yellow orange"O" on the left breast, black pants
yellow belt and black and yellow striped stockings inspired by natures namesakes and these unis
were often ridiculed by most of the american league cities they visited.McGraw had a passion
for black uniforms but by the end of 1901 he had enough and so for 1902 the uniforms were more conventional.
Unfortunatly attendance was disappointing and so the time was ripe to move to
a lucrative New York City area in 1903 and became the NY Americans or also known
as the Highlanders then later became the NY Yankees. For the next 50 years Baltimore
remained a minor league team but were one of the most successful operations in the International League.
YEARS OF THE ST LOUIS BROWNS
St Louis became Major League team in 1902 as a transfer team from Milwaukee.
Since the NL had the St Louis Cardinals so they became a new AL franchise. They were
christened as the Browns as a team that used to play in the American Association
a decade earlier.Of course Brown was the primary trim colors for 52 years of the franchises life.
Only the Giants in rare times and the Padres in modern times would use brown as a trim color.

When the St Louis Browns became clearly hopeless by the early 50's,Baltimore
was once again was proposed as franchise shift. So in 1954 Baltimore was again a major
leagfue team. The uniforms were a continuation of the AAA team. Both home whites and road greys
featured a slanted script Orioles in orange and black across the chest. The black
caps had an Oriole bird with appropriate coloring.Black stocking with 3 orange stripes.
The first season Balto lost 100 games but thanks to the hapless A's the O's avoided
    a last place finish.

The Miami Marlins began play in 1993 as the Florida Marlins. They played thier home
games in sunlife stadium in which they shared with the Miami Dolphins from thier
inaugural season until 2011.This year they will start play in Marlins Park which is
built on the site of the former orange bowl. The new parks name is a temporay one
until naming rights are purchased per agreement with the city amd miami dacde county
which owns the park. The Marlins officially changed to the name "Miami Marlins"
on November 11,2011.They also adopted a new color scheme, logo and uniforms.
On March 7 1990 Wayne Huizenga announced he had purchased 15 % of the Miami
Dolphins and the Dolphins home for an estimated $30 million. He stated he was
aggressively prsuing a franchise in MLB as the National league a few months earlier
announced it intended on adding 2 new teams and that one of them would be placed
in Florida. The only question was if Huizenga was capable to beat out Orlando and Tampa.
Orlando feilded a very spirited campaign as a family based tourism city and Tampa allready
had a baseball park in the Florida Suncoast Dome however The NL awarded Miami
the franchise with a $95 million expansion fee.In 1991 Miami made thier first signing ever
by signing 16 yo dominican pitcher Clemente Nunez.

The Miami(Florida) Marlins have not had many uniform changes but the original
color schemes were white, teal and black. The first year of league play they actually
had 5 uniforms. The home was teal striped white jerseys with black numbers and
players names with a thin teal outline. The Marlins name was across the front in teal.
Stocking were all black and 2 styles of cap one was all teal and the alternate was all black.
There were 2 alternate home jerseys. They were the same as the regular home jersey except
the sleeves were all teal. The other alternate was all teal jersey with teal striped pants.
There were 2 road jerseys, the original was grey with a black white and teal stripe
going down the side of the leg.The word Florida ran across the front of the jersey
and the cap was teal with a black bill. The alternate road had the all teal jersey with
the grey pants but the word Marlins was in silver. The numbers were silver with a thin black
outline and another silver outline along the black.

The following files are the home cl1 and cl2.They represent 2 of the 1993 alternates
    and the 1996 alternate unis

EXTRA NOTE:For those that use Tys Editor u will find that i had to put these in as the
Tampa Bay Rays because the editor still has Florida Marlins and when u try and save the files it
gives an unhandled error message.I have contacted Ty and see if he can fix this

  11. Detroit Tigers 1990 Away

    Remember this whittle guy?

    (SBNATION)

No not the Hall of Fame* shortstop in the background. I mean the Kid. THAT ADORABLE KID!

Fortunately since 1990 we have grown up a bit. For example our Tiger stripes are now just two classy blue pipes down the side, not TIGERZOOPANTZINMILLIONZCOLORZ!!!. Other than places who still think it's 1990 (*cough cough* Toronto) we no longer play on crappy Astroturf, or treat 50 home runs in a season like it's the Second Coming. Our Princes are all grown up.

    Speaking of Second Comings:

PRINCE IS BACK!!!! (and modders that's a png from BlessYouBoys so you can get the beer stains off the one in-game)

With Fielder days here again, you too can relive 1990.

And fortunately for you the uniform I have for you today is NOT the deranged get-up that Prince is wearing, but the Away Uniforms of the 1990 Detroit Tigers.

With the abrupt departure of both NYC national league clubs to the west coast in 1958,
future league expansion was a certainty.NY was too lucrative of a market to be denied
NL baseball for too long after supporting 2 teams for so long. When the announcement
for 2 new franchises(Houston and NY) came a poll was launched to select a nickname
for the new yorkers. The final selection was a rsuurection of a 19th century NYC team
name-the Metropolitans or the Mets for short. The team colors were to be blue and orange.
The Ny monogram was borrowed from the departed Giants and a circular team emblem
was to be worn on the sleeve. The home uni took a cue from the neighboring Yankees
including the pin stripes. The overall effect was clean and classic as there were no
piping or striped socks.A slanted script Mets graced the front in royal blue with orange border.
Socks undershirt and cap were solid blue. The grey road emploed small piping around the collar
and New York in arched fancy capitals, royal blue with orange trim.
The first few years at the polo grounds were a major struggle.Casey Stengels
pick up team was so enept in the early years with 120 losses in 62 and 100+
for the next three years. The uniforms remained unchanged(except for a number
added on the front in 1965 and lasted thru 1975 when they changed the road
jersey from the new york lettering to the the script mets lettering on the front.
And one minor change that only lasted in 1964 and 65 season was a worlds fair
    patch.
In 1978 the mets altered thier uniform design to incorporate the double knit jerseys.
The new shirts were a pullover with a couple buttons at the neck.Orange and blue
striping at the sleeve ends and around the collar.
The following files are from the 1965 and 1997 mets and are the away and alt h.
The patch thats on the 1997 jersey is a 50th anneversary patch for Jackie Robinson

After Seattle had a team for one season in 1969(the pilots) and then moved to Milwaukee
it left a void in the city and then when the american league decided to award 2 cities
a franchise, seattle was given a second chance. The new franchise elected to keep
the pilots blue and gold trim colors and also kept the nautical idea and named themselves
the "Mariners".The new uniform sets were white at home and light blue on the road.
By now the double knit style had become standard and the new seattle uniforms
included the v neck pullover with built in waist band for the trousers. The caps
were once again blue but with a trident "M" in gold.Arched across the front of the jerseys
white home was the name "Mariners" with a trident capitol "M".This lettering as well as the
numbers was blue with gold edging.Blue gold striping appeared on the waistband
sleevends and around the vneck collar.Stockings and undershirts were solid blue.

This is from the 1997 mariners and the file is the home.iff

The Cleveland Spiders of the national league in the 1890's were one of the casualties
when the league was reduced to 8 teams aftre the 1899 season.Cleveland then joined
Ban Johnsons american league and was back as a major league for the 1901 season.
Blue was thier uniform trim color and thus were called the "Blues" for the first 5 or 6 seasons.
As normal they wore standard unis with the city name across the front.
In 1905 blues superstar Nap Lajoie was selected to manage the team and a new home
uniform for that season included an unusual form of the letter "C".It was an ornamental
script style on the left front of the shirt.By 1907 thre name blues was beginning
to tire the fans so they became to be known as the "Napoleans" or"Naps" in honor
of thier leader. In 1909 it was to be Lajoie's last season and the nickname still stayed
until 1915 when they officially became known as the "Indians".!916 a new nickname and
new uniform was made and they added players numbers on the left sleeve.
This idea lasted for one season and so was shelved for another 13 years until the Yankees
expiermented with this idea.Another historical event took place the spring of
1916 when greatc tris speaker was purchased to become the new home town
hero. His worth was proved as he became player manager in 1919 and leading
the indians to thier first world series in 1920.As result of shortstop ray chapmans death
during that pennant winning season they wore black armbands on thier left sleeve.
The celebration of thier world series win carried over into the 1921 season as they wore
the words "Worlds Champions" on the front of thier home and road unis.It was not
a popular idea with Mgr Speaker or the players.Speakers leadership was not enough
to win any more pennants and so in 1927 he moved onto Philadelphia to finish his career.
Inspired by the Tigers(Tiger Head) uniform in 1927 Cleveland followed the idea for the 1928
season by having a full bonneted Indian on the front of thier jersey. It was the first
visual acknowledgment of the teams nickname and represented the clubs participation
in a baseball wide trend for more colorful uniforms. For the 1929 season the indian head
was moved to the left sleeve as a block "C" was placed on the left breast. This uni lasted
up to the 1933 season when the home uni was restyled with interesting color features.
The button panel was made with solid red and thin navy blue edging and a new
"wishbone style" "C" in red and blue and the stocking were navy blue.
The solid red was dropped on the button panel in 1936 but the indian head patch continued.
Ex pitching great Walter Johnson managed some respectable teams during this run
and future great Bob Fellers debut was in these unis.
1938 the indian was removed and red stripes were added the the stockings but the wishbone C
remained as the dominate design thru the WWII period.
Thru the years the unis went trhu a few changes but in 1947 a new animated
toothy grinned indian patch was created and put on the left sleeve and was nicknamed
"WAHOO" and he lasted for 5 seasons. Those next few years new owner Bill Veeck
drew many people into the stands with promotional gimmicks and a steady improving
ball club.1948 Cleveland drew over 2 million people and the team rewarded them with a world series victory.
1951 introduced new manager al lopez and a few more uni changes.A new version of Wahoo was
created on the sleeve as well as inside the C on the cap.Another big season in 54
as the indians won 110 games and bob feller finished out his career in 1956 and
al lopez also had his final year.
For the next couple decades cleveland went thru many uni changes and wahoo
also went thru many changes, from pinstripes,to zippered to vest type but no
uniform was more colorful than the 1975 season as they introduced 3 uni versions.
A home ,away and an alternate. Many teams in the late 70s went to the bizzarre
color schemes and double knitted uniforms just like the Astros,A's,Pirates and the Indians were no different.
Wasnt til 1986 when Cleveland went back to the more conventional uniforms

    these are from the 1905,1928,1933,1975 home and away,1989 Indians.The files are home,alt a ,alt h,bph,cl1 and cl2

At the turn of the century, the NY Giants were one of the solid teams despite
thier low position in the standings. With a huge population base and spacious
polo grounds asthe premier park in baseball, they survived the leagues cut
from 12 teams to 8 in 1899.Hated rival Brooklyn was the class of the league
at that time but before too many years the tables would turn.Fiery John MCGraw
was lured away from the new american league in 1902 to become the Giants
player- manager and an winning tradition would soon follow. The 1900's were
pretty standard, white ta home and grey on the road and the name new york
in arched block letters.Trim colors were either brown or black.
By 1905 (McGraws 2nd pennant year) the new york was replace by large capital N Y
on the right and left breast. After refusing to participate in a post season series against
the american league champs in 1904 the Giants relented in 1905.Connie Macks
Athetics were the opponents and McGraw presented special all black unis for
world series play. The large NY in white letters wer duplicated on the jerseys.
The psycology worked as the Giants were victors,a fact that woulod not be neglected
and they became the new uniform for the 1906 season.Still gloating over thier win
they added "WORLD CHAMPIONS" on the front of thier jerseys. These unis had another unusual feature,
they replaced the normal fold down collar with a "collarless" shirt.Failing to repeat
in 1906(the cubs won 116 games that year) They decided to go back to the 1905 unis for the
    1907 season.
In 1911 the trim color once again was black and fine blue pinstripes were present
in the fabric. Also a change with the caps now had the NY in white on black caps.
The new torkers once again won the pennant and were to face the same Athletics
for the fall classic and once again McGraw ordered the all black unis but this time with
the logo on the left sleeve. But this time the mackmen prevailed and the all black
    unis would be retired permanently.
The status quo of major league baseball was challlenged again during the
1914-1915 season as a new Federal League was a 3rd major league.Player threats
and salary demands were esculating. The new league collapsed after the 1915 season.
Stability was again restored. The new Giants uniforms of the 1916 season was a
provacative new design.Vilolet was the trim color but the real surprise was the fabric
It was a cross hatched affect of a few fine purple stripes that provided a plaid look.
and over sized NY was placed on the left breast. An optional cap made in "athetics layer cake"type were used.
Another unusual road uni was made as well.
1932 was John McGraws last season as manager of the Giants.Bill Terry took over
in 33 but would never be the same for Giants fans. The new uniforms for the 33 season included
some new changes as well as orange and black were nominated as the team colors.
A world series victory helped offset the mcGraw exit. The era ended officially
when McGraw passed away in 1934.In 1936 a new color scheme was again created as royal blue
was the new solo color. And other color schemes came nto play over the next few
years until 1949 when the black and orange were reintroduced. The letter style
of new york and giants was retained but with black and orange borders.Caps ,undershirts
and stockings were all black, and the NY on the cap was now orange.Piping was
orange and black along the sleeve ends and down the legs of the trousers.
This uniform set the longest run in club history and some of the most glorious
moments in giants lore occured in these years like willie mays making his debut in 1951
and bobby thompsons pennant winning homer in 51 and sadly was the last uniform
worn at the polo grounds in 1957.
Like the Dodgers the Giants moved to the west coast and moved into san francisco.
The giants retained the same look except for now the jerseys had san francisco
and SF on the caps but they were still the giants and a new pennant in 1962
withy new heroes marichal and mccovey and solidified thier west coast indentity.
Finally in 1973 the giants made a minor adjustment to their uniform as
they reversed the ornage and black arrangements and lasted thru the bicentennial year.
In 1977 they changed to the pull over and beltless trousers and introduced for the
first time thier script version of "Giants" and also the uniform number was placed on the jersey
fronts as well. This uni lasted thru 1982.

Ned Hanlons Superbas whose nickname was a famous circus act of the time
started the new century as champions of the national league. In affect world champions
since the american league was still a minor league. The Brooklyns of 1900 wore
the standard white home and grey road.Home caps were the pil box type in white
and the road was grey.Stockings were maroon at home, black on the road.Jerseys wer
button up with fold down collars.Road shirts had BROOKLYN in block letters while
the home had an old english B.The same style uniform stayed in place until1907
when they redesigned the Unis. The road uniform in 1907 was a grey material but
fine blue crosshatched or"checkered pattern".This expierment was the forerunner
of the more acceptable pinstripes in later years. This look had many comments
and even was ridiculed that the team decided not to repeat the uniform in 1908.
In the 1916 the Superbas were now known as the Robins(after wilbert robinson). They opened with a new
version of the cross hatched unis but this time with wider spacing. The idea was more
accpetable now.It may have been because now the brooklyn team was a pennant contender.
The media and fans seldom find a reason to criticize a winning team no matter the costume.
They met the Boston Redsox in the world series but fell short but still those unusual
uniforms became baseball lore.Again though it was back to regular pinstripes in 1917.
During the decade of the 20's the "trolly dodgers" finally achieved respect in the "big apple".
The pinstripes continued thru the 20's.
In 1925 the national league celebrated its 50th year and brooklyn spruced up thier look
to celebrate the milestone. As all NL teams a large circular blue and gold patch was displayed
on the left breast of home jerseys and on the road jerseys it was on the left sleeve.

The 1930's the wilbert robinson era was near the end and the Robins pretty much
floundered. But they did get some attention for thier uniform ideas. With fancy lettering
and red and blue colors. In 1933 the brooklyn club officially adopted the "trolly dodgers"
as thier nickname. The new uniforms even displayed the name dodgers on the front.

In an era of many new color expierments.the dodgers took probally the boldest
one yet in 1937.They introduced GREEN trimmed uniforms and no it wasnt no
April Fools joke.Except for the choice of color which was unthinkable for baseball uniforms, the
overall design was conservative. With solid green caps, brooklyn in plain block letters and minimum piping.
However the road jerseys crossed a new frontier in uiform ideas by using TAN
instead of the basic grey. This idea only lasted one season.
Beginning in 1938 the familiar Dodgers script made its first appearance. They also
wore a world fair patch on the left sleeve. In the 1940s and early hybrid version
of the familiar dodgers was developed.Instead of the normal flannel,a highly
reflective satin fabric was used with the idea that it would improve viewing
under the lights. The alternate road unis were a rich pale blue and the trim
was white with a white stripe down the shoulders and Brooklyn in white script.
In 1947 baseball history was made as jackie robinson was now wearing the familiar
dodger blue.Another note about the dodger uniforms is starting from 1939 thru 1947
    they were wearing zippered uniforms.
1952 the dodgers made uniform history by adding the players number not just on
the back but now also on the front. Many teams started following this ,the braves
in 53 then the reds in 57.In 58 the orioles were the first american lg team to do so.
The brooklyn dodgers finally won the world series in 1955 over the much hated
NY Yankees.Despite another pennant in56 walter o'malley was determined to
move to the west coast and major league baseball was no more in brooklyn by
    1957.
Major league on the west coast was an instant hit and was more glorious and eventful
more than o'malleys wildest dreams.Attendance was huge and the instant rivallry
with the giants resumed. The dodgers won the series in 59 in only thier 2nd season in LA.

On march 9th 1995 the owners voted to award 2 new expansion clubs, one to tampa florida
and the other phoenix arizona to begin play in 1998.On that same day the team name and logo were announced.
The colors were officially known as purple, teal, black, metallic copper and white. The teal and copper
were inspired by the arizona desert and purple was Jerry Colangelos favorite color.
It was soon apparent that purple was a difficult color to deal with as matching shades
across different textures and fabrics such as helmets caps and jerseys was almost
impossible. In many pictures the colors appear not to match at all. This would later be the reasoning
for changing the color scheme in 2007.
When the logos and colors were first introduced the team was scheduled to wear
2 caps,home(white/purple)and road(black/teal) but this was chabged before a game
was even played,as 2 more caps were introduced. The new all purple cap became the home
and changing white to an alternate option. The teal/purple was another option.
The jerseys went thru a few changes as well before the team took field. The original
versions called for copper pinstripes and an A logo on the front
The team identity began to take shape as buck showalter was named manager on
november 15 1995.The american league manager of the year in 1994,showalter had
just taken the yankees to the first playoff appearance in over a decade but was replace
by joe torre.Showalter would have much influence on on field appearance such as requiring
to wear traditional stirrups, banning facial hair although exceptions would be made once they aquired randy johnson
in 1999.Another of his ideas was to add the A logo on the socks.By this time the home
jersey was changed so much that they will eventually wear"diamondbacks"written
across the chest and purple pinstripes replacing copper.

These are the away alt 1 and cl2 unis. They are from the 1998 alternate unis and the 2001 alternate

  21. 1984 Tigers for 2k12

    The unimportant stuff:

It's this thing again: http://www.mvpmods.c...showtopic=45928, updated for 2k12. Apologies to the 17 people who downloaded it earlier -- I recommend replacing that one. File name is uniform_det_away84.iff and it can be added as a slot with Ty Wiggins's editor or replace the Aways.

Guy wearing 3: Hello kids. My name is Alan Trammell.

Guy wearing 1: And I'm Lou Whitaker

Both: And we're here to teach YOU how to look as good as us!

Trammell: Some of you may not know this, but people used to play baseball in cheap synthetic pullovers.

Whitaker: That's right, Alan. And we were also forced to supplement our meager incomes by doing badly scripted public service videos and cameos in Magnum PI.

    Trammell: Well that was cool:

Whitaker Anyway, if you want to look like us at home you can wear the same whites the Tigers have worn since the reign of Henry the First...

    Trammell: Ah, Beaclerc. Good guy.

    [gets strange look from Lou]

    Trammell: ...for a Norman.

    [another look]

Whitaker: But when you go on the road, well, back in our day things got a little interesting.

    [cue cheesy '80s music]

    Trammell: You mean these?

Whitaker: NO!!! Don't ever bring those out again!

Trammell: Ha ha. We mean these!

Whitaker: What you see above are screenshots from 2k10 but they haven't changed much.

Trammell: And now you can have these babies for 2k12. All you need to do is figure out Ty Wiggin's editor or something.

Whitaker: Or you could rename it uniform_det_away.iff and use a Mod Enabler.

Trammell: Or you could PM someone who seems like they know what they're doing.

    Both: Because we don't!!!

Trammell: But Lou, what about the colors? I mean you can't just wear these with the light blues that the colorblind people at 2k think constitutes "Navy."

Whitaker: Good question, Tram! Our blue on an RBG scale is 16-22-52, and our orange is 231-85-16. But the colors that DetroitStyle put in his rosters for color-fixing are pretty close to that so if you're already using those don't even bother.

Trammell: You mean this mod works well with other popular mods? Now that's what I call...

    Both: ...A DOUBLE PLAY!!!

    All: [laughter].

Look for updates as I use these to tinker with 2k12 mechanics. Thanks to DetroitStyle for the early assistance, to DonSpa for the tutorial in Ty Wiggins Editor-ing, Tom Monaghan, people who supported my Kickstarter, Tom Selleck's cookie duster, and the color orange.

  22. 1912 New York Yankees/Highlanders Uniforms

    NOTES:
This zip file contains both the home and away uniforms of the 1912 New York Yankees/Highlanders/Americans. 2012 is the 100th anniversary of the team first wearing a home uniform with pinstripes and an interlocking "NY" logo on the front. While the design of the jersey changed multiple times over the next few decades, the pinstripes and "NY" were permanently reinstated for the 1936 season.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (Recommended):
    1. Place uniform_nyy_1912A.iff and uniform_nyy_1912H.iff into the 2K12 game directory. (This is likely C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Sports\Major League Baseball 2K12) You will also need to extract nyy1912.txt, but it can go in any folder as it will only be used once.
    2. Download the free MLB 2K12 Roster Editor by tywiggins
    3. Open the roster or franchise file that you would like to add the uniforms to
    4. Navigate to the "Uniforms" tab.
    5. Click "Import" and select nyy1912.txt.
    6. Click OK and you should be all set!
If you don't have or want to use the MLB 2K12 Roster Editor, you could alternatively replace the default Yankees retro uniforms. Just rename these uniform files and replace uniform_nyy_cl1.iff and uniform_nyy_cl2.iff. However, the uniform colors will be off.

    Enjoy!

  24. Cubs Retro

There are 2 folders One for those that have Tys roster editor and one for those
that dont. There are 3 methods to installing.

    Tys Editor Instructions
U can install these into the main mlb 2k12 folder and they will not overwrite any file.
Open Tys editor and import the info from the text file included. These unis will have
    the correct color codes

    Normal Install instructions
WARNING BACK UP ORIGINAL FILES as these will overwrite the originals.Unzip into
the main mlb2k12 folder.Start game these will NOT have the correct color codes because
of the way 2k does their files

Generic Mod Enabler(use the files in the normal install)
This is the best way for those who dont have tys editor and dont want to over write the originals.
    Download from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products-jsgme.html
and follow thier directions.Once installed there should be a folder called *MODS*
Inside this folder u can create another folder. For example if u just want national league
modded unis name a folder NATIONAL LEAGUE and place my unzipped uni files
inside this folder.Start the enabler and choose the folder that has the mods
then start the game and the unis should be available. If u want to revert back to the originals
then just shut down the enabler again these will not have the correct color codes

The Chicago Cubs have a long and rich tradition as a charter member in the National League.
Dating back to 1876.They were known as the Orphans or Remnants at the turn of the century
and wore the plainest uniforms. They had no lettering,no logos of any kind. They had a standard
fold down collar, buttons part way down the front and a pocket on the left breast.
Caps were an abbreviated "boston"style with a close fitting crown and a thin colr band around the base.
It was white at home and grey on the road with maroon stockings and cap trim.
In 1903 the new uniforms added a old english "C"in blue.1905 the words "chicago"
in block capital letters were added. In 1906 a large circular"C" was now in place and repeated in 1907
but a special grey uniform with pinstripes were made for the world series.
They were upset by the cross town rivals"white sox"losing key home games during the series.
This grey suit was worn at home to start the 07 series and the cubs were severly
repremanded by the commission for not wearing the traditional home whites. The attempt
to break the "at home"jinx worked as the cubs had no trouble beating the "Detroits"
    in the world series.
    1908
In 1908 the nickname chicago cubs was officially adopted and 2 straight series wins was the golden
era of cubs baseball. The fabric that was introduced in the 07 series was a special
made uniform that featured narrow fine black lines that was used by a team for the very first time.
1908 was the cubs 3rd straight world series and 2nd straight win and would be the last time the cubs
    won in a world series.
