Is there any possibility of having a No-DL version of this rosters? I know I am not the only one who doesn't like starting a Franchise with starters on AAA.

I know Snash is working on AAA right now and it could be a little while until he gets that done.

I would suggest PM'ing Snash with any roster moves you think should be incorporated in the next release so he can keep it all in one place :)

You can just move em back to the mlb rosters. It will take a lot less time than waiting for the new rosters to come out. Just a suggestion though

Hoop27...

I know it is very early to make a meaningful evaluation of the adjusted rosters but after 3 games (USER=Cubs..CPU=Houston), I have aleady seen some definite improvements.

Examples:

Cubs have received 4 walks ( could have been more with patience)

Stros have received 6 walks (using no-cursor)

Cubs have been struck out 10 times.

Stros 18 times

Cubs have 2 out of 3 stolen bases

Stros have 2 out of 2

Offense is still a big strong but will wait until 7 or so more games to see if I need to adjust any sliders.

Also a total of 6 hrs...4 by Cubs...2 by Astros

Especially interested in the amount of walks and stolen bases....We'll see what happens in the next few games but so far....looking good!

Hey guys I don't know if this is a general or specific issue but Kevin Millar of the BLue Jays is listed as a rookie even though he has age 37.

Not sure if this is intentional or not, just pointing it out.

Despite all that, roster works great, thanks.

He was one of the "fake" players in the game initially, so 2k had him in the minors as a rookie.

Where is A-Rod ? :o

LOL I damn near had a stroke when I saw this.

He is in AAA because he was hurt. Snash is working on AAA as we speak so A-rod doesn't have some of the attribute changes....

So if you call him up, edit him and take 10 points off of contact on both sides, and take 5 points off of his walk rating to match up with the rest of the roster adjustments.

I would think that will be fixed in version 1.3. I will also PM Snash and let him know.

I wouldn;t get too excited about HR's by the Cubs and/or Astros. I play as StL and open up with a series against HOU (following PIT) and 2 series against CHC, with a series at ARZ mixed in .... and the Cubs and Stros seem to hit homers (regardless of what slider set is used). CLee, Berkman, Tejada, DLee, Soriano, ARamirez ... are premier sluggers. CLee and ARamirez both got me twice, and DLee seems to find either alley for a double.

I'll hook that up Hoop, I'm working on the Yankees minors as we speak.

Any other changes to ratings other than -10 from contact and -5 on walks?

Thanks.

well Mark if you look through AAA and see any MLB'ers in there just do that change. to give you an idea. if contact ratings have been done use the guidline of a .300 hitter would have a 75 contact and a .250 hitter would be a 50 and you should see right away if they have been changed.

If walks have been adjusted they should be in the 70-90 range for the most part. PM me if you aren't sure on anyone.

thanks

I have now completed 10 games using the Community Rosters Ver1.2 and simply put....There is a definite change for the better.

Examples:..

...As User I have received 23 walks in 10 games which was not really possible before the change. In reality, if I had any patience I could have received well over 30.

...Stole 6 bases and was caught 4 times...All 4 failures was the result of running against Rodriquez (Hou) and Molina (St.L), probably the two toughest in the NL to run against.

...I have hit 13 homers without using the LS.

...Pitching ERA is 4.02 and would be lower if I knew how to field. Balls became singles and doubles because I could not react fast enough with manual fielding.

...5 other NL teams have ERAs below 4.00, which would not have happened before the revisions.

...Opponents have a combined BA of .272 off User pitchers, certainly realistic.

...I lead the league in hit batters with 12. Next closest team has 7. This is not the result of any revisions but more to do with User pitching with no cursor....IMO. makes the game much more interesting.

There are adjustments I will continue to make....

#1....Opponents have only hit 5 homers in 10 games. Therefore, I am going to lower their Batting Pitch Influence from 30 down to 15 or 20.

#2...User pitchers still do not walk enough batters, so I selected two pitchers (Cubs roster) and lowered their individual pitch control to 15. I have noticed their overall effectiveness reduced to the mid 30s vs. high 50s before the change. I assume this will make pitching much more difficult....We'll see.

Additional information...

...I pitch with no cursor.

...Batting success and contact at 30 for both User abd CPU.

...Batting power at 100 for both.

...Batting pitch influence for both at 30 but will lower CPU to get more homers.

...Strike zone off.

...Inside Edge off.

...Fielders speed at 50 for both to reduce sensational infield play.

...Batting eye influence, hit direction influence and zone hitting at 0.

...CPU pitching is..Pitch success=30..Selection=45..Strike Zone=5 and Pitch zone=10

That, more or less, is what I have to show after playing 10 games with the new roster adjustments....Have found play much more realistic and entertaining.

Thanks again to those that made this all possible.

Fantastic work thus far, everyone involved.

Any idea when the complete minors roster will be available? I don't mean to rush, as I know it involves a serious amount of work, but I am just curious what status is to that end. Also, as it appears MarkB is doing the Yankees minors, are there any teams that the MVP Community Rosters would like to pass off to other willing modders? I am more than willing to take a team or two.

Hi I was gonna pm this to someone but I wasn't sure who and I don't know how many people are working on this, if people have assigned teams....or whatever.

I'm a big A's fan and know the A's organization very well and after working on this for over an hour and a half, here's what I think the most accurate rosters possible are for all 4 teams if everyone was healthy:

I realize you guys are a long way off and more than just names have to be included (models, skills). But I don't know maybe this helps. And apologies for the long post like I said I would have Pm'd this if I knew who to send it to.

I'd like to use this roster, I have the Direct2Drive download version of the game. Only problem is there is no 2k Sports/MLB 2k9/Saves folder anywhere. In fact I cannot find where it saves the Franchise or rosters anywhere. Does anyone know where to find it with this version of the game?

Try this:

make sure ur folders are set to show hidden files and folders

then go to

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\2K Sports\MLB 2K9\Saves and put the ros file there
