  1. Thanks for your work. It's hard to tell what the faces look like from your pictures. Maybe take a close-up picture of the face instead of the whole player.
  2. Just messin' with ya.
  3. Not always. Besides, if one posts something... anything, one is subject to anyone's reply as long as they are a member of the community. Maybe you should consider what you're posting before you do. Now if you would like a constructive potential answer to what you seem to want, you can always use Team Changer, if you have it to make changes and moves. As far as faces, if you use TiT, I believe the faces will show in the existing season since the game draws from the models.big file regardless of what mode you are in. I'm just trying to hook you out!
  4. Wow. So you thought the answer would change simply because you asked it again, later? You were already given an answer. What does being a supporter of the community have to do with anything? This is one of their rules. Besides, you can simply use MVPedit and the Total Installer Thingy and make all of those changes. Also, I think it's "hook someone up", not "out".
  5. Great work, Oscar. Can't wait for this release.
  6. I had the K-Rod ID mixed up with the Francisco M. pitcher. I imported last year's K-Rod correct file to this roster and simply changed his first name to K-Rod so I stop confusing this. Fran M. has been eliminated. Apparently there is another active FR, but he's in a very low league.
  7. Oh.... ya, probably one of these guys who had a face made for him because he seemed like he would be a good player.
  8. Brandon Wood seems like a wasted slot. Not sure which one it even is..... a major leaguer who is now in the Indy league or the minor leaguer who is now in Single A.
  9. Okay.... I'll check these. Should be included in the next updates.... around the All-Star game.
  10. I switched to Dennis' 2011 GABP versions and had no problems.
  11. While experimenting with cpu v cpu games, I'm finding both Cincy Reds stadiums are causing lock-ups and crashes. Also, had this happen online recently. Anyone finding this?
  12. Wasn't exactly sure how to search for this and if it was a topic at all, it's probably ancient. But wondered if any guys here may know of how to eliminate the "golf drive" type fly ball numbers that appear on a long fly ball and HR's? I'm guessing something in an in-game graphics file needs to be made transparent. However, sometimes these things can overlap where a similar graphic shows up (e.g., a number in the fly ball graphic also feeds the runner's speed graphic, and therefore if you "erase" it, you also erase the speed graphic).
  13. Can anyone give me some idea as to how this is working out? Anything? Would like to know if realistic results are being seen or if there is some tweaking to do, etc?
  14. I'm confused as to why you are doing faces for players who already have a cyberface?
  15. If you have a 512 card, 250W should be enough, but I doubt it will power a 1 gb card. There is a site out there that calculates the power you need based on your hardware, but can't recall what it is. Search some type of cpu power calculator.
  16. I think the 512 will be adequate, but may limit you running it in 1024 x 768 size if you want it smooth. I would also stay away from 2x portraits and uniforms. And depending on the card, sometimes the older drivers work better than the latest update. I remember that being the case when I ran it on an ATI card.

EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED IN THE RAR FILE For realistic cpu vs cpu games. ***Don't ask support questions here. This is for review. Just about every file UL'd to this site has a "support topic" link up and to the right of the file page. DID YOU KNOW? If you right click on your game icon (shortcut) and type in the Target window, after ".......mvp2005.exe", a space, and then -win, your game will show in a resizeable window on your desktop? In the "Target" window, it will look something like this: "C:Program Files (x86)EA SPORTSMVP 14mvp2005.exe" -win

  19. You guys are not asking your question in the support thread, therefore few people will probably see it if posted in the REVIEW section.
  20. Thanks. Here's one last box that I think shows some realism, though as I guessed, pitch counts will suffer in this set up. I think that's inherent to the game's programming re: foul balls not occurring as realistically as they should. I think what's interesting in this box score is it shows Lincecum having command of the game, but in the 8th when he gave up b2b homers, he was pulled for his struggles, despite zero walks. Conversely, the Braves pitchers only gave up 3 walks collectively with Teheran giving up 2. I'm pretty satisfied with this. SF @ ATL cpu v cpu.rar
  21. Really.....is that necessary?
  22. After some varied tinkering with rosters and sliders, settled on something that I think will work. It was necessary to dumb down contact and power significantly to get the realistic desired effect, including the dreaded excessive walks. It still may be necessary to tweak the throw balls slider slightly, but would like to see people's results. Attached 3 example games. Exhibition.rar
  23. Install the original game Install OFFICIAL patch #3 (4 & 5 are just roster updates) Make a duplicate copy of this install (to keep around as a "template" to install other TC mods if you want) Install MVP 13 to the duplicate Install any MVP 13 patches available Don't modify anything further until you can get this "core" MVP 13 functioning *Many guys are finding a problem running MVP on W7 --- therefore, first try to right click on the mvp2005.exe file in the main folder and run in XP (SP3) compatibility mode and check box to run as administrator. If these steps don't work, try to reinstall the original MVP game via the discs to your DESKTOP.
  24. Go into the team.dat file (via wordpad or textpad). And for them to show up in the game properly, you'll need to change them in the 2 LOC files (which you open and edit with LOClook).
  25. I'm not a big classics guy, but I understand the work it takes. Thanks for this major contribution to the community!
