How do you extract the boxscore to a website?

go to a free hosting site such as tripod or geocities (i'm sure there are many more choices as well) and sign up for a site. then upload the .css files from the box score extractor to your new site. all you have to do after that is upload each box score file when it's made and it will have it's own url now.

i'm not the best at explaining these types of things - if that's confusing at all i would go ask wiggins. he's the one that explained it to me and did a great job at it :D

Tampa Fights Off Oakland Rally To Take Series

Continuing to fight for the wild card, Tampa Bay entered Oakland looking to close the gap to at least one game.

In game two of the series, two of the leading Cy Young canidates faced off in Ben Sheets and Rich Harden. Sheets held the A's to two runs over 6.1 innings but that wouldn't be enough as Harden allowed only one run over 8.1 innings to get his 13th win of the season.

The rubber match saw Noah Lowry square off against Joe Kennedy. Lowry was his usual self going into the ninth with a 5-2 lead. An error on himself would allow two runs to score though and Huston Street was brought in to protect Lowry's bid for win number 15. Street would lockdown the A's with two strikeouts and a groundout to get his 17th save of the year.

Tampa Bay Switching To Four-Man Rotation

Devil Ray manager Joe Maddon announced earlier today that Tampa Bay will be going to a four man rotation for the rest of the season. This announcement came after a loss to Toronto in which starter Matt Cain continued his struggles, giving up seven runs in four innings yesterday. The loss was Cain's twelfth of the season.

This means that Scott Kazmir, Casey Fossum, Ben Sheets, and Noah Lowry will carry the load while Matt Cain will be used in long relief situations.

Hall's Walkoff Prevents Jays Sweep

The nation has been following the big three in the wild card race (Boston, Tampa Bay, and the AL Central) - but no one has paid attention to the fifth party...Toronto. The Blue Jays made a case for themselves in this series.

After winning game one by six, Toronto continued the pounding with an 8-2 win. This time the victim was Scott Kazmir who allowed five runs in five innings, followed by three runs allowed by Jose Mesa in 1.1. The Jays had five doubles and one homerun with Troy Glaus driving in four.

Attempting to prevent the sweep, Tampa Bay sent out Casey Fossum to face off against Gustavo Chacin. The Jays used a three run sixth to take the lead and, after the Devil Rays tied it in the bottom of the inning, added another run in the seventh to go up 4-3. Entering the ninth, the Blue Jays felt pretty good about their chances with closer B.J. Ryan coming in. However, Toby Hall wasn't impressed as, with two outs, he took Ryan deep for a two run walkoff homerun. It was Hall's third homerun of the season. It was also Ryan's first blown save of the season.

Street Loses Closer Duties - Vizcaino Taking Over For Now

Devil Ray manager Joe Maddon announced earlier today that Huston Street will be moved to the setup position due to lack of performance. The latest struggle came yesterday when he allowed a three run homerun to Travis Hafner in the ninth which tied the game. The Rays won the game thanks to a walkoff homerun from catcher Toby Hall.

Luis Vizcaino will be used as a closer for now but with Jose Mesa and Danys Baez in the pen as well, it could become a three-way race.

When asked about the move, Maddon had this to say:

"I don't really care who closes the game out. We still have faith in Street but he is going through a rough time. During this time, I'll call on whoever I think has the best chance to suceed on that particular day. We have some great arms out there - I'm pretty confident that we'll be alright."

Bullpen Falters As Rays Fall Short Of Sweep

With a sweep, Tampa Bay could move into first place in the wild card race. However, Cleveland wasn't going to go down easily.

After winning game one, the Rays were counting on Noah Lowry to hold the Indians potent offense back. Lowry would prove up to task, going 8.2 innings, giving up no runs on six hits, while striking out six. Cleveland starter Jake Westbrook left the game in the third after being hit in the head by a line drive. He was diagnosed with a concussion and could miss up to a month.

Going for the sweep, the Devil Rays sent ace Scott Kazmir out against Cliff Lee. Kamir left the game with the lead but reliever Cliff Politte allowed three runs off two homeruns in a third of an inning, squandering Kazmir's chance at win number fourteen. Guillermo Mota would pitch the ninth for his 28th save.

Rangers' Tenth Inning Surge Prevents Sweep

Following their win in game one of the series, the Devil Rays took a half game lead in the wild card race. With three games to go against the 60-66 Rangers, they hoped to add a bit more.

In the second game of the series, the Devil Rays sent out Ben Sheets to face off against Adam Eaton. Sheets is considered one of the favorites for the Cy Young award and he showed why on this night, going eight strong innings, allowing no runs on four hits and striking out six, picking up his tenth win of the season as the Rays took the game 7-1.

Game three saw Noah Lowry face off against Vicente Padilla. Lowry matched Sheets output, going 8.2 innings for the second straight outing, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out three. The Rays plated three runs on three solo homeruns, two of them from Ty Wigginton.

Going for the sweep, Scott Kazmir faced off against Kameron Loe. Both pitchers were average going five innings, giving up four and five runs respectively, and the game ended regulation tied at five. In the tenth, the Rangers scored three runs off reliever Huston Street. Street also gave up the tying run to Texas in the top of the ninth. Tampa was unable to answer and Texas salvaged a win but the Rays took the series 3-1.

Rays Take Two Of Three To Make Wild Card Lead A Full Game

In game two of the series, Ben Sheets looked to continue his push for the Cy Young as he faced off against Rodrigo Lopez. Sheets was convincing, giving up three runs on four hits in 8.1 innings, while striking out nine. All the Orioles' runs came in the seventh. The Devil Rays took the game 6-3.

Going for the sweep, the Rays sent out Noah Lowry to match up against Kris Benson. Lowry was uncharacterically off, getting chased in the third inning after giving up four runs on five hits. The Rays bullpen gave up another six runs as the Orioles prevented the sweep with a 10-4 win. The Orioles hit five homeruns in the game with Miguel Tejada getting his 30th of the season.
