Ya.....if you get the freeze, it's usually late April. The only place where I believe the game cheats is on HR power for the cpu (though that could be my bad pitching), but even more so, pickoffs by the cpu pitcher seem more effective and they have slow guys taking 2 step leads and getting back usually with no problem. I've had average speed guys take a 1 step lead and get picked here and there. The only other thing I think it lacks is past balls by the catcher, especially too low or bounced pitches.

Tim....if you've read through anything in this thread you have to know that you need to say more than that in terms of what's going on. When you can give more details, check back in.

You'll want the feeng.loc and igeng.loc files from just about any install. Plus, I re-did one from this past year inputting variations (so, some minor league teams may not be correct). '&do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

If the computer can't read the disk, there could be a problem making as ISO image.

You could try cleaning it with 5% alcohol and 95% distilled (or anything other than tap water) solution. Take a lint free cloth and clean from the inside to out, not circular.

Diehard....you said you've "checked" the rosters for injuries (rotations and lineups should be fine unless you made some other changes yourself). It sounds like you're running into the problem of allowing injuries and/or trades and/or suspensions on. Start a new season and turn them all totally off and see what you get. Hopefully with MVP 15 there will be more complete rosters allowing for these to be left on. (In the meantime you can look earlier in this thread where I believe I posted a fix.)

Well, you're asking about how to make a program work on a piece of technology for which it was not designed. Portrait.big contains compressed .fsh files. .fsh files are also compressed in other types of files, so from that standpoint it doesn't make sense. I think you should consider yourself fortunate it's running at all on a tablet.

Thanks for posting your results. I think the bottom line is that you have a game made in 2004 and a controller made in 2014. My only other suggestion is to grab a Saitek (P900, p2500 or p2900) from E - bay or Ama-zon and you'll have what I believe is the most versatile PC controller you can get for gaming.

Actually K4, the teams names were put in backwards purposely so that our dyslexic MVP players could enjoy at least one facet of the game. Hope you understand.

Another member (who doesn't seem to post) had somewhat of a similar dilemma with his 360 controller. The first answer is mine and the second is his. 1 - You might also try a little program called "Joy2Key" that converts keyboard and mouse commands to your controller (that is, your controller will carry out the keyboard/mouse commands as you assign them.) 2 - If anybody else runs into this problem...its caused by the CPU reading the USB controller as an audio device. You have to go to Control Panel...Sounds and Audio Devices...hardware then deactivate it. Should be good to go then. The other possible solution is to manually configure your controller via the controller.cfg file in MVP's "Documents" sub-folder, which you can open with WordPad. And if you find a solution, PLEASE POST IT. Too many guys around here pop in, ask a question, post "I got it, never mind" and disappear. That's not helping the community.

Ok...I think I answered my own question. Sorry, for being obtuse. If MVP 15 is done, this will make a welcome addition!

No, I understand that. What I'm asking is will the #7 assignment work since 6 has been the 1B mitt all along. So in other words, do the gloves get labeled 0-6 as they used to or 1-7 as he shows in his picture and description. Things need to be exact.
-
Right because "E" is your installed drive on your PC. For most people it's "C". Doesn't matter. It's what's on the end that matters (....... -win)
-
Thank you for doing this. Let me ask this question again. To date my understanding is that 1B gloves had to have the code "6" in the rosters for them to show up. Do they now need the code "7" and will that work?
-
Just use ALT + TAB to minimize, not the other. If that's not working, then run the program in window mode (left click on your program shortcut / properties / add " -win" (no quotes and mind the space after the first quote) in your "Target:" window, so that it looks something like this: "C:Program Files (x86)EA SPORTSMVP 14mvp2005.exe" -win ). Then you can navigate to where you want.

It definitely was ridiculous. It reminded me of when my kid was playing Summer league ball and at the end of one game, another kid on his team who was emotionally challenged was cursing about something near the end of the game, but not directly at the umpire. The ump suspended him for the next game. I had no problem with it, until I heard the ump soon after talking about the kid as people were exiting the park and cursing himself. I lost it. I wasn't going to hit the guy, but the way I went toward him I could see where people thought I was. If I remember right, it was something the ump said right after my brother made some type of provoking comment (he was good at that at sporting events), but the point was the ump was referring to the troubled kid. I would never had hit him, but I thought the kid needed a little defending at the time. My wife wasn't too happy with me, but I'd do it exactly the same way all over again.

The game has a limit of 4 rosters displayed. You can take a list out of the folder and store it nearby, but the game won't allow you to save more than 4. You can also change the extension to something other than ".sav", but still the total .sav's in the folder will be 4.

Best Sites For Madden '08 Roster Files Updates:
Gordo replied to vbprogjoe's topic in Left Field (Off-Topic)
I have this game, but never liked the converging arrows on a pass and never found a way to turn them off. -
Thanks, but I have a question. There are 7 gloves in the fielders FSH file with the 1B's glove as #7, not 6. I would imagine that if you install these, all current 1B with a "6" for fielding glove type (color, as it's called in the attrib.dat file) is not going to look like a 1B mitt. No?
