Brewers Retro

There are 2 folders One for those that have Tys roster editor and one for those
that dont.There are 3 methods to installing.
Tys Editor Instructions
U can install these into the main mlb 2k12 folder and they will not overwrite any file.
Open Tys editor and import the info from the text file included.These unis will have
the correct color codes
Normal Install instructions
WARNING BACK UP ORIGINAL FILES as these will overwrite the originals.Unzip into
the main mlb2k12 folder.Start game these will NOT have the correct color codes because
of the way 2k does their files
Generic Mod Enabler(use the files in the normal install)
This is the best way for those who dont have tys editor and dont want to over write the originals.

In 1901when the American League was formed,the Milwaukee Brewers were one
of the original teams.Unfortunatlythier status as a major league team was too
brief as plans were allready underway to move them to St Louis.The Brewers had
finished dead last and poor attendance sealed their fate.The uniforms were pretty
much standard for the day.White at home and grey on the road,the name milwaukee across the
front and blue socks.It would take 50 years for Milwaukee to host another ML team
and another 7o to reenter the American league.After the Braves run in milwaukee
in the 50's and 60's the city had a hard time trying to get back to the major lgs once the Braves left
town.The Chicago WhiteSox tested the waters in Milwaukee as they played a handful of
games in County Stadium,but large crowds for those games convinced the American Lg
that potential was there.In 1969 the Seattle Pilots looked for a new home after a disasterous
season and filing for bankruptcy so they moved to Milwaukee and became the Brewers again.
In 1998 2 teams were awarded teams,the arizona diamondbacks and the Tampa Bay Rays,
One team needed to move the National League.The KC Royals were given first choice and
they declined the next team offered were the Brewers.If they had not accepted the next team
in line would have been the Minnesota Twins.

On march 26 1976 the american leaguevoted to expand to 14 teams for the
1977 season,in addition to Seattle,Canada was awarded a 2nd team to be located in Toronto.
In the summer of 1976 Toronto held a "name the team contest and the name"Blue Jays"won out.
It was the 2nd time a team wanted the name Blue Jays.Philadelphia attempted the name during
WWII but never really caught on.The uniform trim colors were to be light and dark blue with a touch
of white and red.Both home and away unis were pullover with beltless waistbands.The caps were dark blue
with a white panel with the blue jay emblem.t shirts and socks were dark blue.
The following files are the alt 1,away,bph, and home.
Jerseys are from 1997 special event,2001alternate,2001away and the 2006 special event unis

1900
At the turn of the century the Boston Nationals were in thier 26th year as a league member
being one of the original franchises in the first year of national league play(1876).
The uniforms were the laced collar type,and either the name Boston or the old english B
on the fronts.The arrival of the Boston Americans on 1901 offered unwanted competition
with an eventual identity crisis with the uniform comparisons.Black and white
photographs from this perios made it hard to identify players as they all appeared as if they all
played on the same team.
1907
When John Dovey assumned control of the Nationals he restyled the uniforms and the newspapers
pinned a new nickname on the team as the DOVES.The home unis where all white
a maroon old english "B" and a yellow belt around the pants.The road unis were a
french flannel grey with a thin green stripes which became one of the first uses
of pinstripes.Buttons replaced the lacing on the jerseys.These uniforms recieved so much
comments around the league that the Boston Americans assumed the color red
in thier designs during the 1908 season because no other american league team
was so identified.
1908
John Dovey was determined to reclaim Red.Bright red caps with white pipping
,solid red stockings and even a red belt were featured in both home and away
uniforms.The photo similarities was not an issue for the time being but the 2 boston
teams were both now The "Red Stockings" for the next few seasons.The similarity climaxed
in 1910 when both teams used identical lettering on the shirts in the same color.
With the only difference was in the stockings.The american lg team were red and white socks
and the national team was all white socks.
1911
the 1911 season broke the look alike trend with another design by the national lg team.
The fold down style collar was replaced by the short cadet type.The old english "B"in navy blue
was restored on the sleeve.The road unis were a solid dark navy blue with the same style "B"
in white which were a "Negative" image of the home whites.
1912
President John Ward named the National league team as the "Braves" after turning
down several possible names(Heps and Rustlers) to name 2 that were turned down.
Once again they went back to the Red as the main color.The Americans abandoned
the name Boston on thier jerseys in favor of the Red Sox
1913
The Braves proved to be a popular choice as the new name and also a new patch
was designed as an indian head on the left sleeve on bothy home and away unis.
1929
The 1929 the Braves added a little indian head in the center of thier lettering on the front of
the jersey and then 1930 they kept the same trend but only adding a pilgrim hat
on the left sleeve to observe the Boston Tricentennial and also had a larger head
of an indian on the middle of thier backs.This stayed until 1935 when they started adding numbers
on the backs and put the head back onto the left sleeve.Babe Ruth was repeatedly
photographed in this uniform as this would be the last uniform he wore as a player.
1936
Out of desperation for failing attendance the Bravesonce again changed thier name,this time they would
be known as the Bee's.Once again they had a new look as a mix of blue and gold became the new colrs.
By 1939 they reverted back to red and navy.By 1945 the name Bess was wearing thin and so officially
went back as the Braves.
1946
Things were looking up for the Braves.A new manager in Billy Southworth
and solid pitching staff with spahn and sain.and a new radacal design
destined to becoma a classic a" tomahawk" under the name Braves.
The tomahawk design was here to stay for a while.
1953
With Boston being a 2 team town attendance was slowly beginning to dwindle
Lou Perini was able to persuade the major league to let them move to Milwaukee.
The attendance was staggering as they were drawing nearly 2 million fans a year.
The Braves won pennants in 1957 and 58 and just missed winning again in 1959.
In 1963 the braves did away with the tomahawk and became a sore spot on the fans,
as attendance started to fall again.
1966
Milwaukees honeymon with the Braves was now officially over as they packed up
and moved south to Atlanta.In 1972 the Braves entered the season with another new look
as they were now pullover jerseys with a softball look.Baseball history was made
in this uniform asthe great Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruths homerun record in 1974
.
1976
for Americas bicenntenial year the Braves color scheme was almost as close
to being draped as an american flag as u can get.According to owner Ted Turner
the Braves were now America's Team.

The Oakland Athletics(A's) started out in Philadelphia and managed my connie Mack.The A's main rivals
were John McGraws Giants who had managed the Baltimore Orioles before moving
to the national lg Giants.McGraw and Mack were old members of Irish clans which
dominated the game at the turn of the century.After turning his back on the new league(American)
McGraw referred to the Athletics as(White Elephants)The nickname stuck and the 2 teams met in the
1905 world series and McGraw was presented with a small white elephant toy.
The Giants went on to win the series in 5 games.The elephant nickname became
a part of Athletics uniform for many years.The first appearance of the elephant
on a A's uniform was in 1918but changed it to blue.It was said that Connie Macks
teams were either unbearable or unbeatable.For a few years macks A's fell on
hard times and he struggled finacially.And became in last place for the 1920 and 1921
seasons. Finally in 1924 he changed the elephant back to white and the team improved
somewhat.The added fading legends in ty cobb and tris speaker and added upcoming stars
cochrane,foxx,simmons,and grove.The elephant served its purpose and in 1928
the old familiar A was back on the jerseys.
1930's-1940's
Because of Macks inability to bankroll the teams stars the A's again fell on hard times.
And one by one thier stars were peddled off to other amrican league teams.The same
basic uniforms pretty much stayed the same thru the 40's as well.The only differences
thru those years were cap colors and changes in socks.
1950 end of an era
1950 was a milestone year for connie mack.Five decades at the helm that probelly
never will be matched.To celebrate the event they spruced up thier uniform
with a gold annev patch and gold trimming.After climbing up to the middle of
the packin 1948 and 49 they fell 102 games in 1950 and dead last again.Enough was enough
and with boston braves moving to milwaukee an idea to move to greener pastures
was not out of trhe question.Under new ownership the standard A now became
script Athletics in 1954.
1955
with teams switching now acceptable the A's team moved west to Kansas City.
The Kc team kept the script on the jerseys and the famous A was kept on the caps
The old elephant emblem was also kept as well usually worn on the left sleeve
1962
By 1962 all links to the Philadelphia past were erased.The city name kansas City was
now across the jersey and KC on the caps.One new invention was created as well
a number was placed not only in the back but on the left sleeve as well.
With charley finley purchasing the A's he wanted to take advantage of the
"television".Tradition be damned he jolted the baseball world by expierementing
with unmentionable color combinations.The sleeveless vest along with the indians
was introduced to the American League.An idea they got from the Cubs in 1940.
1967
By 1967 Finley had had it with KC and so moved west again in favor of a new colliseum
in Oakland California.A fancy "Oakland" was placed on the front of the jerseys.
All the bright greens ,yellows and whites were kept for many years to come until the
end of the charley finley era.In 1987 Oakland toned it down to a conservitive trend
with just basic uniform schemes.

1962
In 1960 the state of Texas was granted a national league franchise and so they chose
the states largest city and became operational in 1962.They adopted the name colt 45's
as a reminder of the famous six shooter.The team colors were navy blue and orange.
Alos had a picture of a colt 45 on thier breasts and the word colts.The colts shared last place along with thier counterparts
the new york mets.The played in colts stadium the first few years
1965
With the establishment of a new space center and a new enclosed stadium the
Houston club did an about face with thier identity and named themselves the Astros
1971
with increasing color tv sets and the new double knit uniforms orange was now the
Astros dominate color woth orange caps ,undershirts and stockings also withOrange
white and navy sash belts.The lettering switched from blue with orange outlines
to orange and blue outlines and instead of a blue star it was changed to orange.
Also changed were zippered unis instead of the button up ones

1962 uni
The american league made a decision to add 2 new teams in 1961 and the
Los Angeles Angels was one of the 2.They got thier nickname from the a defunct PCL
team.Navy blue and scarlett were the colors chosen.The home whites featured
the name Angels while the away uni featured the name Los Angeles.The caps in the first
seasonhad solid navy crown with a red visor.Then in 1962 they added a white circle
"halo" around the top of the cap to symbolize the "heavenly origin"
I tried my best to try and get as round as possible for the white halo but wasnt easy
lol but still turned out ok

These are the 1909,1938,1940 and 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates.
1909
The Pirates put together a 110 win season in 1909.Many will argue this is the best Pirates team ever assembled for a single season.This was also the first season that the Pirates played in Forbes Field.
1940
Starting in 1939 the Pirates began using zippered jerseys in place of button up ones and in 1940 they went a step further as having the most innovative jersey in Pirates history.Instead of the normal "P" or the name Pirates they changed it to a head of a typical buccaneer in headress,earring,bandana etc.on the left breast.Extra red white and blue stripes were added on the road stockings.And a narrow band of red OR white band around the base of the cap.This emblem is the only emblem of the Pirates team nickname to appear on a uniform in team history.
1971
This jersey actually started in 1970 as a alternate but became the normal in 1971.In 1970 the Pirates started using 3 rivers stadium and so the Pirates wanted to start fresh with a new uni and so they chose a pull over double knit fabric which was lighter and more durable.It also featured a built in sash belt so no more seperate belts.The Pirates were the first team to use these fabrics and with in 2 years almost all teams adopted them

This pack contains the 1996 Canada Day Toronto Blue Jays, the 2010 Pittsburgh Piratas, and San Francisco Gigantes uniforms. Two versions are provided, one replacing the first Classic uniform and a second adding a new uniform slot. You must have Ty Wiggins Editor to add the later. Color files are provided as well. Enjoy!

This pack contains the Boston Red Sox St. Patrick's Day uniforms and the 2007 Pittsburgh Pirates Red Alternate uniforms. Two versions are provided, one replacing the first Classic uniform slot for Boston and the second Classic uniform spot for Pittsburgh, while a second adds a new uniform slot. during the 2012 season.Just unzip and place the uniform files into the main
