Kriegz Posted December 17, 2005 Share Posted December 17, 2005 I'm really looking to get this going again now that we have alot of artists here again like me, kc, dan, filthy, friedman, medric, and I'm sure alot others. So, first of all, to gauge intrest I'd like whoever would seriously compete to reply. Second, I would like to see what judges from before would still be interested so we can replace the ones that are gone like Moose. I'd like to see this going again with some sig 'tournaments' or with 2 sig getting a match where the judges choose 1 of the 2 and the winner moves on in the bracket. (maximum) 2) Submissions should be made by PM'ing your image to Yankee4Life who will present the images to the judges. Don't show your submissions publicly 3) The deadline for Round 1 is Friday, December 23rd at 11:59pm. Any submissions made after this deadline will not be counted. 4) Judges will evaluate the submissions and post the winner's names and sigs on Saturday, December 24th. 5) Topics for each round are as follows... Round 1- Musical Artist Round 2- Athlete Round 3- Movie or Hot Chick 6) Lets try to avoid flash here, this is about the actual sig. 7) Judges will all meet in the private "Voting Room" to choose thier selections for each round. If a judge cannot make the specified time for the meeting, they will have to PM the vote to Y4L, who is our "Head Judge" 9) "Seeds" on the bracket will be detirmined by a draw of names out of a hat. 10) We will have a consolation round for the artists who are eliminated in the first round. People who lose in consolation are out of the tourney same for whoever loses in the second round of the main bracket is out as well. 11) The winner will get a custom member title or something 12) Have fun and good luck! The Rules 1) Do not copy or plagiarize someone else's work. For example, do not download a sig from a website and pass it off as your own. Do not download a sig from a website and make modifications to it and then submit is as your own work. Submissions should be the competitor's original work. If you are found guilty of copying someone else's work, you may be banned from further competitions. Please note however, that you are allowed to use stock images (ie. player photos, team logos, etc.). 2) Submissions will only be evaluated if they are in-line with the competition's theme. Please ensure that the work you are submitting follows the weekly theme. 3) The sig must be created with the rules of the site in mind. Therefore, no hate speech (including racism, sexism or prejudices), nothing sexual or pornographic, and nothing that may be considered as slander. If you do not comply with this rule you will be banned from entering any further competitions. 4) Please note that work your should only be submitted once. Do not submit the same image for more than one competition. Let's keep the competition interesting. Please make sure that each submission is completely different and not just a modification of another submission. First of all, a judge in this does not really need to be a moderator, but rather a person who does not make sigs. I'm sure you all can think of people in here who have an appreciation of the sig makers here but just don't make them themselves. Also, and this is even more important: we need the voting to be set up to an e-mail account. I would gladly volunteer mine, which is yankee4life@mvpmods.com. The voters would e-mail that account, identify yourself like "this is Tribetime and I vote for XXXX's sig" and then I'll keep the score. Or if not me, someone will. I just don't want another Deathnotronic incident. I think if this is successful we can have quite a lot of these. Remember, the NFL playoffs haven't started yet and that's a good subject right there. It would almost like a baseball tournament where you put the Yankees, Red Sox, and White Sox in one bracket and the Pirates, Devil Rays, and Blue Jays in another. I was assuming we were using a single elimination, double-sided bracket. When voting for a person, and they do this at nationalsigleague.com, you should tell why you voted for that person. I think a group of 6 judges will be sufficient, so say something if you would be one and be serious about it. There's this one baseball game site called Smallball Baseball, and they make stuff there occasionally. Here's a link, if you want I'll try to round up some judges.
