  3. Arrrrgh, damn it. Well, this is still great work.
  4. Took some time this afternoon to figure out what the Astros values are for 2K's brick color they have on the overlay. I downloaded the 2K rosters from 2KShare, extracted the Astros color list from the roster using Ty's editor, took the RGB values, divided each by 255 to give me a decimal value (the floating point) and converted it to hex format. If it doesn't work then eh, I tried. I'd like, more than anything to replace all of the colors on the overlay. Hopefully this format makes sense (Hex, 32-bit float): Astros Brick color: RED: C898 1B3F GREEN: 80B7 403E BLUE: D3DE E03D What I want to do is change this to the orange I use on my uniforms: Astros Orange RED: F7E4 613F GREEN: CC7F 883E BLUE: 499D 003D
  5. I have houston's team colors as 000418 (navy), E14408 (orange) and 000000 (black, for equipment purposes) 2K's stock houston colors are 9B301C (brick), 1E1E1E (black/dark grey) and E7D19A (sand) To swap the Houston colors you would want to change the brick red to orange. In this case, you would have to find a way to replace 9B301C with E14408. This has already been changed across all current rosters (to my knowledge) since they affect fonts and equipment colors, but the overlay graphic color (the gradient, in this mod) remains the same color value as the 2K ones for some reason. I wish I had some sort of knowledge of Hex, all I'm good at is just texture/visual work :|
  6. I'm all over the place today, but to answer your question, they're in the global.iff file. They cut a lot of corners, since editing one of them could result in the create-a-player faces being all messed up.
  7. The color used in the overlay is isolated from what you assign in terms of team colors through a roster. You can edit the colors of the teams through Ty's editor but that's all I know.
  8. It's looking really good. Exactly how do you change the team colors from the overlay? The Astros have had the same brick color forever. If you could provide a brief tutorial as to how to change the colors that would be awesome. Keep up the good work!
  9. My thing is, I don't like using multiple utilities just to import something in the game, especially when all TexMod will do is load it into memory and not a file.
  10. Hey, thanks! As far as doing the rest of the MLB teams, sure, I'd like to do so, but it's a long season and a long process, mainly because I have other personal things to deal with offline :)
  11. You could have just updated the original file instead of uploading three different versions
  12. I am definitely following this thread
  13. I think this looks good: The blank spot could display the MPH
  14. Use texmod and cycle through the textures. It's how I found the file that handles the shadows that I just can't find in the stadium's .IFF files.
  15. It makes the jersey disappear? How is that possible, I didn't even include a jersey texture!
  16. Try this. It's the DDS files for image 0 and image 2, which are the letters and 3D mapping for the letters, respectively. Reply to this thread if anything goes wrong ;) reds-letter.zip
  17. Wait, is it possible to reposition this so it resembles a scorebug than a horizontal scoreboard?
  18. ahh man the video was incomplete. Thanks for the brief tutorial though! :)
  19. What is it that you're trying to do with the name on the back, add a shadow? Just make the shadow black in the RGB layer, and have the shadow be a white color in the alpha, so it is visible when it's transparent
  20. Bro, I mod with ultimate irregularity (I'll tweak one thing on a mod and not touch anything else/play 2K12 for weeks at a time) but it takes me about 20 minutes for each player to properly crop and edit. Those sig competitions during the glory years (04-07) taught me all I needed to know about cropping. It's a pain but the end result is always beautiful.
  21. So EVERYONE is tackling this lol
  22. Strangely enough I am halfway complete with updating that file. If you want to pick up where I left off I can gladly hand this down to you ;)
  23. D'oh. Beyondo would do for now.
  24. There already is a solution: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=54991&view=getlastpost
  25. OK these are fresh. I like the way they look. ...so baseball season begins tonight with Texas facing off against the new-look Astros. I am super pumped. ...my Fantasy Baseball team is going to be a monster this season...starting by keeping my guys Posey and Trout, and letting Pujols (shocker) walk and starting my team from scratch with just these two monsters. I am hoping I can pick up Paul Goldschmidt, who is primed for a breakout year, and Desmond Jennings who is relatively healthy. ...I'm still dealing with financial problems, but I have two job interviews this week, so I'm excited, but as usual, expect the worst, hope for the best.
