Thanks Oscar, but I'm pretty much done with this. I just did this as a courtesy to start off the season to see if anyone wanted to continue on with these as I did years ago. I did hear other rosters are coming out as well so hopefully either way we'll have a continuing set.

Here is a fix for Cardinal relilever Seung Hwan Oh. I missed his splitter speed. Simply open up the pitcher.dat file, search for his name and replace his line with this one: 0fff0e269,0 Seung-hwan,1 Oh,2 26,3 1,4 0,5 0,6 39,7 90,8 6,9 8,10 6,11 21,12 82,13 2,14 8,15 4,16 34,17 69,18 7,19 5,20 4,21 15,22 81,23 -,24 -,25 -,26 -,27 -,28 1,; The problem slot is #22...so if you know your way around these files, simple change slot 22 to 81 (presently 36).

MVP 2016 Initial MLB Rosters These are NOT Opening Day rosters. These are more of a combination of opening day, depth chart and projected short-term injury rosters. Certain players who have relatively short term injuries (i.e., into April) who would have been on the opening day roster are included had it not been for the injury (e.g., Michael Brantley) and therefore are reflected as such. The pitching rotations are also not based on actual opening day rotation necessarily. Rotations are typically based on current listing in RotoWorld, but not exclusively. Also, let’s be clear here…. this is NOT a MILB roster at all. The minor league teams only hold other players in the organization. However, some players that you know of in a given organization may not be there. They may be in free agency. This happens because during the course of the year when moves are done, some organizations are overstocked with players. In the real world, they can have that. In the MVP world, you are limited to 25 maximum players per squad, so they either go to FA or get deleted. Additionally, many squads turned out to be short of the 25 player ceiling after all of the off-season moves. Since I have only focused on the MLB, I had not, did not and will not create players for the MILB. If a certain team is short of the 25 player mark, I substituted a generic pitcher or position player named “PlaceHolder”, because that’s exactly what he is. What this does provide is a roster that should not crash or freeze up during the season even with injuries, trades and suspensions on. Also, if anyone wants to take on these rosters and complete them for the MILB or any other reason, the Placeholder player can be modified to fit a needed created player. Good Night and Good Baseball! -
Not calling these Opening Day Rosters as I'm going to take into account that certain injured players would have taken up certain spots for opening day and will be with the team either sooner or later this month or shortly thereafter. Players who have longer term injuries will most likely be placed on the AAA or A squad. Then anyone who wants to pick the rosters up and continue updating them can do so.

Ahhhhhhh... seeee? The truth shall set you free!

baesw.... not sure what you're saying but it doesn't help anyone. As far as the search feature.....that's all well and good, but like any search feature it's gonna be limited when you include a single number like 8, or 7, or 10, etc. This is why we should merge existing threads under one umbrella for a given operating system and why starting a new thread about the same thing shouldn't be supported and that poster reinforced for fear of looking like a "meanie" or some such nonsense.

Cyberfaces are customized. Anything out of the default faces of 901-915 aren't going to show properly as is and will actually cause your game to crash. Therefore, assigning generic/default faces will help stabilize your game, but of course assigned these faces will take time. Probably your better bet is to take the time and download all of the latest faces (either in face packs or in individual downloads) and install them. Overall that would probably take less time. Additionally, a new roster (at least from me) for MLB level rosters for opening day will be out soon enough. I would just wait on that as it will have more accurate rosters.

Good idea, Jim. Also regarding the portraits, if you want to make it simplified, you can use either "1" as the portrait number globally, or you can use the team portraits I put out last year or so and assign the proper team numbers/portrait. You wont have faces, but you won't have the wrong faces either

Thanks wink...but we need a GOOD reason as to why you did this!

He looks a bit steroid-ridden.

Yes. The 8 and under crowd would go nuts.

You guys do know we have a Windows 10 thread, eh? People over there will be looking for answers (and future members). Maybe put your responses in there.

Nightengale: Some complained about LaRoche's son
Gordo replied to DaSteelerz's topic in Baseball Talk
Not gonna read the story, but let's face it, grown men at work don't want to spend their entire day with kids hanging around (and personally, this take your pet to work shit needs to stop). These are adult men who, well, let's be blunt, are butt naked sometimes in the locker room and want to use certain language, tell jokes and say stories that maybe they feel uncomfortable saying around a kid. It's just common sense. Having him there at times I think most could deal with....but every day..... constantly? Nuh uh. -
Some of The Show ratings have always been suspect. However, speed is arbitrary without real data to figure it out. And you can't just go by stolen bases. Hard to know.

Why "should" it be?
-
Extremely. Something happened there. He's currently at 92 in the rosters I've released. Go into attrib.dat (where the roster files are loaded). Find Correa. Adjust attribute no. 22 (22 playerattrib_speed). Make it 92 or whatever you think it should be.

Is Bryce Harper's take on baseball slightly true?

Harper and Papelbon should continue to work on their dugout celebration choreography. -

Is Bryce Harper's take on baseball slightly true?
Gordo replied to DaSteelerz's topic in Baseball Talk
In retrospect, I actually have no problem with a bat flip and I'm sure some of my commentary is mired in how much I despise Harper. I've actually said in the past that I don't understand why batters get vilified for flipping a bat of watching their HR leave the park, while a pitcher can shoot a make believe arrow in the arrow and nothing is said. I just don't want this to get out of control like the NBA or NFL where everything has to involve a celebration (like a first down or a tackle or a dunk) and/or some hip hop dance (oh, there it is). -

I disagree about the "need" for separation. Harper knows he's good and he has a ton of years ahead of him. So he'd have plenty of moments where he can do his showboatin', hot doggin' crap....he has a vested interest. I'm sure there are plenty of players who have zero affiliation with him and what he's saying.
