  1. Looks like someone's coming back
  2. Looks like we are clear. All posts have been edited with the address of the user redacted. Repeat incidents like these where the user discloses their address will warrant a ban, joke or not. Security/privacy is a big fucking deal to me and it should be to everyone in this community, hence why the rules mention against disclosing personal information that could easily identify you offline. Keep it all in PMs if you have to but not in a public forum, visible to thousands of users at any given time during the day. Be smart about your privacy/safety online. That said, the monopoly game is f'ing brilliant. Why have we not done that sooner. An MVPMods pool would have been heavenly. We would keep the site running forever and ever with that kind of money.
  3. first thing I thought of, sorry LOL I have this crafty Timbuk2 bag that carries a shitload of gear, like my current Chromebook, charger and a couple of comic books i read along with my coffee in the morning
  4. Of course, man. Both her and I are swamped with debt, so a majority of our relationship has been just paying bills and more bills, but we make due with Netflix and the occasional night out once in a while. I'm glad she is very introverted, very understanding/pragmatic and not high maintenance. In a couple of years from now I'm considering marrying this woman (once all of our debt is taken care of, it's been a joint effort on our part).
  5. Not using the 13" for gaming whatsoever. I'm pursuing linux sysadmin work and I need something fast and most importantly, light, that I can use as a daily driver, plus Steam can stream games if I ever had that itch to play something on the laptop. The general neighborhood of most laptop computers are 14" though, so 13" is just fine with me. Anything bigger and I outright refuse to carry it with me.
  6. ....my lady's birthday is coming up soon and I do not know, other than a cake designed by yours truly (yes, kccitystar bakes), what to surprise her with. I'm out of ideas. I thought about taking her to New York's Comic Con event, but the price of the tickets are through the roof. I'd rather plan for San Diego's Comic Con than this one. I don't know. I'll just take her to a fancy restaurant instead. ....Ortiz hitting 500 homeruns, while I do not give a shit, I think we need "characters" in our sport. Boston loves the guy, and he's just charismatic. Sure, things he does on/off the field might look like he's bigger than the game, but to be fair, there have been a LOT, a LOT of players who can be perceived that way. Some guys understand that it's a sport and they try to make it as entertaining and as fun as possible for the fans who pay to see them play. Ortiz won't be the last beloved baseball "character" that's come out of Boston, that's for sure. ...I'd love to pick up the Dell XPS 13" laptop. Just like the critics say, I think it's a fantastic laptop with amazing battery life, solid performance (core i5, 8gb ram) and built with Ubuntu 14.04.3 which I'm happy about, but most importantly to me, it's also super thin and light, which makes it a perfect daily driver. I don't need anything specific for gaming since Steam is able to stream games, which, speaking of, why the hell are "gaming laptops" designed like trash? What is this monstrosity? A small form factor gaming PC will be almost as cheap, powerful, and upgradable as a full size PC and much better than a laptop in those regards. ...I'd also love to pick up this device called the Intel Next Unit of Computing, or the "NUC". It's small enough to hold on one hand, with a fast processor, memory and enough space for a small form factor hard drive. Ridiculous power in a pocket sized case.
  7. Hmm...strange. What OS are you using, and specifically, did you follow the guide posted in the support forums? MVP tends to have issues if you run it from the program files folder.
  8. Which OS are you running? 7? If it's 7 or later, there is a thread in regards to an issue that might have broken older games.
  9. Can anyone verify if the fix in THIS thread fixes the startup issue on 10?
  10. I'm a little confused, that's why. If the patch was going to be a catch-all update with everything released up until then, why hold onto any cyber face updates?
  11. WTF. The goal of Patch 2 is to include everything that's been released this summer along with faces that haven't come out yet. If anything, any faces made should have a proper cyberface ID for the roster
  12. Boy's got some talent, wooo
  13. More Patch 2 art work, starting with the game's startup sequence. Are you hyped? Because I sure as hell am.
  14. How's THIS for a CTS screen
  15. That's not your call to make. When making a thread, next time, make sure you explain what you want to say in the body of the post, not the title. Also, this site is not new, and with enough members who have come and gone and are probably still active, what you are looking for was probably mentioned already. The search function was broken before, but that is not the case now. Please search before posting.
  16. Unnecessary. We do not do this here.
  17. Cyclic redundancy errors are indicative of a failing hard drive
  18. And it's up!
  19. Tony Gwynn is one of those players I used to idolize when I was a kid. I was a pudgy guy who was always a RFer if I wasn't playing 1B or pitching, and I was always known for having probably the best hitting eye on my team. By that, I mean I was always able to make contact, be it good or bad on pitches in and around the strike zone. Slydude, as I know you in your posts, pine for the older days of baseball, why don't you check out the Total Classics mods. I'm sure that the 1994 mod amazed you, but if you dig a little deeper, you'll find some absolute gems made by the community.
  20. I remember seeing Bo throw an absolute laser to 3B to pick off a guy advancing to third on a sacrifice fly at a Yankees game one time. I think the highlight is on YouTube somewhere
  21. 29 years ago, Bo Jackson showed the world and Royals fans that he knew baseball. Discuss the awesomeness that is Bo Jackson.
  22. I'm glad the feedback is geared more towards the improved pitching. I wanted the hitting/pitching to feel like a legit showdown, as it was intended by EA themselves in multiple interviews about the MVP series. It helps that the hitting is much more reliant on twitch reflex since the pitch speeds vary so greatly, making it easier to get mixed up on changeups and heaters, for example.
  23. I'll get to work on this during the weekend. I'm just trying to really maximize my free time but my job won't play nice
  24. I should work on rebalancing it a bit more. Maybe I should make this difficulty the new All-Star. I want True MVP to be a clear-cut, "throw this controller through a wall" challenge. I will say that this post makes me happy though as I want people to keep testing it out!
  25. This escalated to a place it didn't need to go. Remain civil, guys.
