  1. If you are running the game on an NVIDIA card make sure you don't have any custom settings for the game (custom AA settings, AF settings, etc) and try again. If the game is not working after a vanilla installation, it's a sign of a bigger issue.
  2. Padres wear navy camo on Sunday games. Mother's Day is on a Sunday.

If it's an installer, run it as an administrator. W8 and higher don't allow changes to be made to the program files folder unless you're an admin
  4. My hitting strategy is usually just looking for something in one of the 9 zones the game gives me to hit (the strike zone has 9 boxes, so that's what I go by). If I'm looking for something up in the zone that I can pull (meaning I hit towards the side I'm batting on), I know to swing early since I will make optimal contact by doing so. The hitting in this game can be a little stiff (sometimes good pitches and what looks like a good swing can = lousy contact), but in time you will start recognizing it's quirks.
  5. The game is receptive to the direction of the pitch and where you're moving the left stick
  6. MVP 2005 is a two-disc game and it will work on Windows 7. You can get the MVP 15 mod and update it with the latest faces and roster as there are currently no large scale mods (like a total conversion) being made for 2016.
  7. location, location, location, and know which pitches you can put a solid swing on. A fastball will yield a better result than trying to swat a low splitter for example.
  8. Try Gordo's sim gameplay pack + a datafile mod I worked on last summer for ultimate difficulty
  9. Photoshop, unfortunately. I will try to mod this later on tonight.
  10. Edit your global.iff file with the MLB2K12 Texture Editor and look for the hex values for these two DDS files: 03296000 032C0AD0 which are the two DDS files for the helmets. I believe you have to increase or decrease brightness of the alpha file in those DDS files to tweak the reflection intensity. Reimport, save the .iff, close the editor and test your changes, and note that editing the global requires you to restart your game every time since it's preloaded on startup.
  11. Email 2K support or follow the process on the Securom website you linked.
  12. High Heat, from what I know (I own a legit copy, it's like $5 on Amazon) does not work on anything not named Windows XP.

The MLB2K12 Texture Editor listed above has the instructions/commands ported over to english
  15. I uploaded the MLB2K12 editor with the source code, so if anyone wants to modify it, by all means, please!
  16. This is correct @tomba you are only able to add grass using the MLB2K12 Texture Editor first, THEN edit the file in Red MC. You will not be able to edit the file with the 2K12 Texture Editor again after you save your file in Red MC. The way that Red MC creates .IFF files is different from the way the 2K12 texture editor creates .IFF files. This is how I've been porting over all of @picklebrad's work from earlier ballparks into current mods.
  17. I think the GM/ownership going above Ventura's head about what goes on in the clubhouse is kinda messed up, that's the manager's job to handle that kind of stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if Ventura resigned
  18. This game was probably done with a team of about less than 20 people, especially since they're using the Unity engine to make it instead of a custom engine like most sports games. Also, that wonky swing animation is a staple of the RBI games, lol
  19. Most of what you have asked has been attempted to be changed at some point by a modder on this site for 2K12 and the most we can manipulate is the textures, as far as I know, but of course, there are limitations to that as well, like for example, logos on the hats

    Grass editing

I take the stock stadium file and modify JUST THE GRASS with the 3DM editor or the 2K12 texture editor (it's identical, I just switched a few things around and changed all of the Chinese strings to English). Strangely enough it is able to be imported into RedMC with the grass changes afterward and you can edit the "Stadium" and "Vista" normally. Now, after making changes on RedMC, you WILL NOT be able to re-edit the files again since RedMC recompiles the *.iff files in a way that cannot be imported into any of the editors except RedMC. Shoutout to Raidersbball20 for the method. Lastly, we're the last guys you'd think to lock anything. We've been saying that our content here is free to use for a really long time lol
  21. What I would love to figure out is how the hell I can change the stadium shadows located in stadium_intervals_(team).iff, or even the hidden lighting files in the global.iff

Try the MLB2K12 editor which is a translated version of the 3DM mod tool:
  23. Hitting in these games are more about learning tendencies, especially the more "sim" you go in terms of gameplay

This file contains "stadium_st02.iff", which will replace your Spring Training Facility 2 stadium, which I assume is the Cactus League park. Ads and scenery were designed by DaSteelerz in HD. Grass/dirt have been imported from Picklebrad's work Lighting/miscellaneous textures were made by me. To install, simply put this file in your main MLB2K12 directory, replacing the existing stadium_st02.iff file. As part of a combined effort from all of us at MVPMods, enjoy!
