HaloFans Angel Stadium Of Anaheim - The Protest Edition: Day Version

After a lot of soul searching, name calling, insults, arguments, and support, I finally made the decision to work on and complete this mod for 2005. Of course if you've been following the threads, you know that this mod comes with some controversy. This version of Angel Stadium Of Anaheim is being dubbed by me as the Protest Edition.

Due to the disgusting and insulting name change, I have made several alterations to my Mod of the stadium in order to reflect my feelings toward the decision that has robbed me and 3 million people of their baseball team and their identity as residents of Orange County.

I've replaced all ads in the stadium that were for the Angels official website with ads for savetheanaheimangels.com. The scoreboard ad for the Times has been removed and replaced by one for the Orange County Register, the areas only real local newspaper. I've also added Anaheim and Beat L.A. shirts to the crowd.

Other than that, just about everything else in the mod is a spot on perfect representation of the real Angel Stadium Of Anaheim. The rest, is Angel Stadium Of Anaheim as it should be. I hope you enjoy using it.

HaloFans Angel Stadium Of Anaheim Mod for MVP Baseball 2005 THE PROTEST EDITION Night Version 1.0 Day Version 1.5 5/04/05 New for this version: The Night Version 1.0: After being unable to complete it for 2004, here is my first night release for the MVP game series. The night version features most of the same ads from the day version, as the real stadium has fewer rotating ads, and those that do change are repeated elsewhere in the park. I have made a few changes to ads. I've also used extensive lighting techniques to make some ads light up as they should, or appear to be backlit, or just made dark due to no lights. The Day Version 1.5: This is a minor update to correct minor problems with the first version, and to bring it up to date with the night version. I've also color corrected parts of the stadium (a special thank you to hyman for helping me out with this) in order to better represent how the stadium should look. The RF wall ads have been corrected for size, color, and placement on the wall. I've also created new dugout suites to replace the ugly ones I used in the original release. Finally, I've managed to reduce the file size of the mod by nearly 3 megs, which will hopefully make it more stable for those that had problems with the original release.

This is my quick representation of Hadlock Field, the home of the SeaDogs AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

It is crosley field with some minor edits.

I dont know oedit, so this is simply some changes to the ads, and put in the actual scoreboard from Hadlock.

I will release another version once I fix the banners that are hanging.

It will replace your Crosley field file.

Again,Thanks to Pirate for letting me use his2004 Busch as a starting point...Unfortunately i cant get my game to work now for some reason (the reason for the long delay) so if any problems let me know and i will try to fix as best i can. Theres no Oedit work done on this stadium, so i do know things like: wheres Big Mac Land, the outfield walls infront of bullpen are see-thru ect. are not included in this mod. THANKS!!!

Version 1.5 Biggest change since version 1.0 is a much improved, high-resolution background. Includes new textures such as updated grass and changes in some of the signs - hopefully all bugs from version 1.0 are fixed.

Version 1.0 Early 1950s rendition of Yankee Stadium. Many new textures including period signs, scoreboard (big thanks to hyman on this), facade and monuments.

Installing: Simply copy the file yankday.big into your MVP2005/Data/Stadium folder.

Note: This will overwrite your current Yankee. You should back this up (its also available on your MVP CD).

Sean Os Braves Field

There are two parks included in this .zip file, one of Braves Field in its original arrangement, and the other with the modified later layout. Consult the jpg to see the difference in layouts.

It should be noted that the Braves 1952 park is not entirely accurate due to the source stadium of Forbes Field not having enough collision data points in the outfield. So instead of center field being curved as in real life, its angled to create a rough approximation of the outfield.

Also, the game does not let you move the space for bullpens as we know to this point, so players warming up will still appear in their old spot, depending on which stadium you replace with this one. In reality, the bullpens were between the right field fence and the Jury Box seating.

Rename the files to whatever stadium you want to overwrite. Since PaulW used AAA Stadium 1 for Ebbets, I suggest renaming the files aaa2nite.big and aaa3nite.big, respectively, so you can keep your other parks intact.

The goal of this update was to give AAA Stadium Two (aaanite2.big) a makeover with a Tacoma Rainiers theme. For those of you who, like me, enjoy playing minor league games, I hope this stadium will add to your overall experience.

--Brick wall texture is now more uniform (no more tiled appearance).
--MLB logos in the infield have been removed.
--Occasionally appearing Orioles scoreboard logo has been replaced with MILB logo. Thanks MarkB.
--Did some "landscaping" to remove black lines that showed up with tree graphics (goodbye trees).

Credits: First of all thanks to Hyman (once again) for his great OEdit work and work with the collision detection data. Balls will hit off wall and scoreboard properly. Also nice work on the three dimensional light towers in right. Artwork by PaulW.
If you manage to hit the Longines clock on top of the scoreboard (feel free to tell me if you do!) the ball will pass through. The ground rules at Connie Mack had any ball hitting the clock ruled as a homerun.
Circa 1960 rendering of Connie Mack Stadium Philadelphia. This model is intended to be sort of a hybrid between Connie Mack and old Shibe Park (used most of the colors from old Shibe). Can be used fairly realistically from any era between 1934 and 1968.
Installation: Simply copy the file shibday.big into your MVP2005/Data/Stadium folder.

I am sad to announce that this is not very high on my priorities anymore, I want to settle down, start a dynasty and enjoy the game, and get away from the hassle of OEdit. While I might to some occasional cyberfaces because they are not time consuming, I doubt I will be working on this much. If someone would like to try to take over this project it would be greatly appriciated, I would send you all of the files that I have done any work on, what you will need is Photoshop, OEdit, EAGE, nfshtool, which I can probualy send as well. If nobody wants to take over, I will just keep the project and work on it maybe here and there but with no guarantees or schedules. I am very, very deeply sorry because I know this will dissapoint alot of fans of this project.

Redid most of buildings behind right field wall (I'm finally happy with these)
Fixed strange flashing seat you would see in pitchers view with modded data file
Added dynamic flag in right field (Hyman)
Changed rf replay camera height for betterviewing (Hyman) - If you clear the scoreboard or rf screen out towards center watch it using this replay. You'll see some great bounces off the buildings on Bedford Ave.
Note: Copy the new aaa1nite.txt file into your ...mvp/data folder for camera changes.
Credits - I would especially like to thank Hyman for his tireless - and brilliant -work with OEdit and his reconfiuring and testing of the collision detection data. Also, once again thanks to Rolie for getting this all started (you'll recognize a couple of your signs yet in left). Majority of artwork by PaulW. Sky texture by Olyrunner.
Rendering of Ebbets Field Brooklyn with real play dynamics - you have to clear the screen and scoreboard in right to hit a homer. Balls carom off the right field wall, screen and scoreboard perfectly. Now includes much more accurate field layout - much less "Shibelike".
Installation: Copy the file aaa1nite.big into you Mvp../data/stadium folder. Copy the file aaa1nite.txt into your ...mvp/data folder. Thats it. Secect AAA Stadium One Night from the game to use Ebbets. If you wish to replace another stadium simply rename both of the included files to the corresponding
name used by EA.

During my latest baseball road trip, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome was one of my stops. I thought EA did a poor version of this particular stadium so I figured I'd make my own mod since I had digital pics. I don't have the time to learn/do OEdit, so what you see is what you get. Obviously missing is the big Dodge ad on the Right Field wall and that can't be done without OEdit. So if an OEdit person out there wants to upgrade my mod and add the Dodge Hemi, be my guest.

The portraits in right-centerfield are now real as well as the championship banners, however, if you're wondering why Kirby Puckett is up there three times, well, in the default stadium, one of the fake guys EA has is on there 3 times, so I picked my favorite classic Twin to fill that spot

What was changed:
-Dugout "Insperia" ad was changed to Twins logo
-Twins portraits are real digital photos
-Twins championship banners are from real photos
-Best Buy banner placed on top of dugouts
-All ads (though may not be in correct location) are all authentic Metrodome ads
